I've seen a few comments saying she's had an 'easy' run because her opponents have collapsed. I think that's really harsh, she seems to have a way of getting under her opponents skin, she takes advantage of every little error they make and without exception so far they've got pretty frustrated later on in the match.

The only common denominator is Emma, that can't be a coincidence. It's hardly been an easy draw for her and she hasn't even dropped a set.
Exactly this. She has been the one constant in all her matches.

She's the first qualifier to reach the semis and only the third woman ranked outside 100 to reach the semis, the other two being King and Clisters. Not bad company.

Incredible. Almost speechless. Running out of superlatives already.

The things that stand out for me are, in no particular order: intelligence - I think it was mentioned in commentary, but she has a much more experienced player's head than she has any right to; her all-round game doesn't have an obvious weakness, and it will only get better; resilience - for a player who only weeks ago hyperventilated her way out of Wimbledon she's really fixed that aspect incredibly quickly.

Worth all the what we might have thought of as hyperbole until this week.

I suspect the BBC will be on the phone to Amazon right now trying to cut some sort of deal.

For a midnight game? It's probably not worth it, if she gets to the final however...

Either way probably not worth it for Amazon, they want subscribers more than cash, they'll get a decent number of sign ups over this.

There’ll be 30 day free trials up for grabs.

Never heard of this 30 day free trial you talk about, it's like DFS sale it's always about.

Agreed, incredible to move on and perform as she has from what must have felt like a pretty significant weakness only weeks ago.

I'd hold my hands up as one of those previously hoping the media would ease up on the hyperbole and pressure that comes with that, but she seems to be handling it just fine (makes the turnaround from Wimbledon even more impressive). Really didn't expect her to make the SF, I thought Bencic would be too significant a step up in quality but I'm very happy to be wrong, I doubt those left in the competition are looking at her as the easy route to the final the way she's playing.

I've really been enjoying watching Raducanu's progression through the US open.

It's great to have someone to support who seems really positive and fearless whilst apparently very grounded and mature. The positive mental attitude she displays is brilliant and it seems to rattle her opponents. Yes, she makes mistakes in games, but they seem to be forgotten by the next point. You always felt when watching Andy Murray, for example, that there were many games where he beat himself by dwelling on negatives and letting his shoulders drop.

I think I'll stay up and watch the semi finals tonight. Raducanu's match is after the first semi final so probably won't start before 01:30

At my extremely humble level and with next to zero pressure in my local league I find it difficult so I can't even to start to imagine how it is for pros. But then again it's their job and thankfully not mine laugh

In the earlier games, even though she was comfortably ahead (even in the 6-0, 6-1 match) she definitely tensed up going into match point and that extended the final games a bit longer than they would probably otherwise have been. Perfectly understandable of course. Yesterday though, in a set that could have flipped if she had dropped serve in that final match...none of that! Seriously impressive.
