Without wanting to rain on her parade. I just read her route to the final and she has fought no one I have heard of.

Her opponent in the final is ranked 73rd? So did no one else enter this tournament or summat?

In short, is the press hyping it all up?
Waiting for your follow up.......

What a performance through qualifying to winning the USA Open and never dropped a set.

You must be the only person dissing her achievement, very bizzare.

Don't forget she beat a player that won gold in Olympics and a person who beat world number 1 the match before.

Sounds soppy, but I'm glad than VW was there to hand over the baton in person smile

Just tougher, just better, just more intelligent in the key moments. Who will beat her?

I can't imagine what I would be like aged 18 and 19 in their shoes now, hard enough time speaking to small audiences and teaching let alone umpteen and million on TV.

Fernandez should hang her head in shame for her unsporting behaviour, she went off court herself. Did Raducanu complain? No.

Brilliant from both players and great speeches I thought.
Such young players and a brilliant story for both of them and especially Emma, great achievement for England.

Hopefully this is the start of a rivalry for many years to come.

Different game once all the seasoned pros have analysed her to within an inch of her life and have game plans perhaps. They’ll still have to go some, nonetheless.
