Rune v Tsitsipas

Sounds like a great match, shame I missed most of it and cant watch it!
A great result. Tsitsipas is in a class of his own…when it comes to being a prick. He seems to be far and away the most obnoxious guy on the tour. A pity as his tennis is great to watch.
Think Nick Kyrgios beats Tsitsipas in obnoxious ranking.
Nick gets significant bell-endery points knocked off for actually having a sense of humour - Tsitsipas is a clear winner for the award.

Great match in progress between Nadal and Djokovic - but geez the incessant ball bouncing makes it a hard watch, and listen.

Nobody comes close to these two at the moment. Not Alcaraz, not Zverev, not Tsitsipas, not Medvedev. That was just another level.

Zverev to win it all getmecoat

At least with Swiatek and Gauff in the final I could watch it with the sound on. I know it is an old complaint but I can’t stand the players, mostly women, who scream every time they hit a shot. Trevisan sounded like she was in Labour and giving the last push every time she played the ball. Yet she was beaten easily by someone making no noise. I just don’t understand why the tennis authorities don’t ban grunting.

Gauff in the singles and doubles final.
That is some achievement in the modern game. Hope she wins both but it is a big ask.

Agreed very impressive but I think it will be tough to beat Swiatek as she is very on form at the moment. Will be a good game, shame on eurosport and no highlights.

Couldn’t help wondering how much of the 91minute first set of Nadal vs Zverez was made up of waiting for Nadal to serve.

He’s amazing, but fk he’s hard to watch.

Great win by Swiatek.. She's stepped comfortably into the Number 1 spot since Barty retired.
Looks a good deal better than her competitors right now...

He can go many gears from here but he doesn’t need to.
Must be so disheartening for Ruud.

Ruud didn't play badly. There were a number of times he turned to his coaches and trainers in the crowd with a look that said, "WTF am I supposed to do against this?".

Not a lot is the answer when Nadal is reading you like a book, and wins 11 games on the bounce.

Radanadcu conceded opening game after "pulling something" and falling behind at Nottingham.

She seems awfully injury prone and quite quick to jack games in. With all the coach sackings etc, I do wonder if there is something ese going on here.

Disappointing for fans at Nottingham

Out of four British girls playing today at Nottingham only Lily Miyazaki won, so with yesterdays matches there are 4 British girls through to the next stage of Nottingham - good luck to Lily, Harriet Dart, Katie Boulter and Jodie Burrage who won their first round matches, although between them they have drawn the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 8th seeds for the competition.

Huge shout out to Harriet Dart who after facing 3 match points against 3rd seed and in form Camila Giorgi in the third set battled back to win the tie break and got through to her first WTA Tour quarter final 👏 👏 👏

Murray beats Tsitsipas in straight sets in Stuttgart which should be sweet revenge after Tsitsipas's bad tempered win over Murray at the US Open when Tsitsipas took a ridiculous seven minute bathroom break between sets after losing the third set.
