Astonishing according to the commentator. That's actually an understatement.

I don't care if he gets wild cards every week until he is 48 and starves an entire generation of young players. wink

5 match points saved.

I don't think he will have much of a chance in the final whoever he plays, he has never taken a set off either of them. But then again...

We all know how good Alcaraz is. And not just for his age.

But this year, and incredibly, he has gone up a notch.

He is currently "having fun" with on form Paul in Miami.

Seems like Jodie Burrage has taken some of the advice suggested on the ER thread about entering smaller competitions to get a few wins and gain confidence - she and a few other British girls entered an ITF competition in France and Jodie is now in the semi finals of both the singles and doubles and the points earned in almost qualifying for Miami and in this competition have made her Britains No. 2 in the WTA rankings behind ER.

Miami was a complete wash out for all Britains singles players with no one getting past the first round and the only people to win a few matches were those who tried/had to qualify.

Edit to add; Jodie got to the final but lost the first set and was 0-2 down in the second but then fought back to take the second set and then whizzed through the third 6-0 to take the title and the $60k prize. Subsequently she will rise from 132 in the WTA rankings to 109 but she hasn't got long to rest on her laurels as she made it through to the doubles final too.
