Good man
One of few things we can own here in the UK.
I have a slicked up Uberti 1873 Competition in .45 Long Colt, for gallery shoots, and its a wonderful thing
Excellent piece! The good old LC, the “cowboy” round. There is a cottage industry here known as “cowboy shooters”; massive competitions. One of few things we can own here in the UK.

Cowboy Action comps take place here in the UK as well, but obviously nothing like on the scale of the US. The 3 gun comps are slightly modded over here though to cater for the shotgun laws and because we're not allowed centre-fire pistols.Seems to be more popular in the north of the UK though.

Still sounds fun. I was not aware you are limited to rim fire pistols. Seems to be more popular in the north of the UK though.

Yes another uk lever gunner here. I have an 1894 JM in .44 it’s currently sick though as the front sight decided to eject itself from the rifle mid comp and with cvid I am unable to get it sorted ah well.
Also have 2 ARs one in 22LR and one in .223 straight pull. Both lantacs.
Really? I too have a 1894 JM Marlin in .44mag. ! It is a gold trigger model from 1977. Those in .44 mag are rare finds! Well done. ETA: JMs are going up in value as we speak. Hold onto that one. Also have 2 ARs one in 22LR and one in .223 straight pull. Both lantacs.

Not even allowed rim-fire pistols....black powder only for Cowboy action.Rim-fire pistols have to be what they called Long Barreled Pistols, which have a 'coat hanger' extension on the butt and an extra long barrel....like this...
In England for simplicity we are allowed only
Rim fire rifles
Rim fire pistols which are over 24” OAL
Revolvers which are over 24” OAL
Any rifle that is single shot
Shotguns anything we want
Black powder and muzzle loading pistols
There are a few weird rules so there are exceptions to the rules but only very few of those exceptions.
24” is basically the main rule and no semi auto centre fire .
We are also allowed Gucci stuff like suppressors and folding stocks etc.

Lord have mercy. That contraption, is that intended to make it prohibitive to conceal or carry?Rim-fire pistols have to be what they called Long Barreled Pistols, which have a 'coat hanger' extension on the butt and an extra long barrel....like this...

Yes I was lucky it was a gentleman who passed away who I knew so I was able to buy it off his wife.
Did I read your post correctly that you cannot own centerfire rifles? Isn’t your JM a .44?ETA: I see, a lever action is considered a single shot?
Give me 2 min will post a pic.... see if you can guess what it is,....

That should be England, Scotland and Wales.Shotguns anything we want
And shotguns is far from anything we want.
Still have barrel length restriction of min 24" and max capacity of 3 rounds for any shotgun under a Shotgun Certificate.
For mag capacity of a semi-auto or pump gun greater than 3, it can only be owned under a Firearms Certificate, which means 'vaild reasons' have to be met, which means belonging to a club that shoots Practical Shotgun comps.

I have a .12 gauge Mossberg pump that is very short. The model is known as the “Nightstick”. It holds 7 shells but I have an adapter for the newer mini shells. I use the Federal brand. It holds 12. #8 buckshot. Mossbe worked a legal loophole to put it on the market. I will explain another time. And shotguns isn't far from anything we want.
