The PH Gun Cabinet - Shooting Matters

I think I've got the RL5 which is for scoped 5 scoped rifles but with a top locking box too.
The Brattonsound cabinets also have the option for floor fixing too. My local force didn't mind what it was fixed to, so long as he couldn't pull it off the wall.
Thanks. Would you mind telling me what the internal measurements are? I can't seem to find them on the internet. The Brattonsound cabinets also have the option for floor fixing too. My local force didn't mind what it was fixed to, so long as he couldn't pull it off the wall.
The air rifle with scope is roughly 230mm from top of the scope to the lowest point of the stock. Will this fit inside without interfering with the door closing?

That will fit fine, I just measured mine and it is about 270mm. My bolt guns with large scopes fit fine, and the black rifles with pistol grips which are a tight fit.The air rifle with scope is roughly 230mm from top of the scope to the lowest point of the stock. Perhaps air brick is the incorrect name for what they are. A quick Google suggests that they are aerated concrete or thermally insulating blocks.
I have render on the outside with concrete blocks underneath, then a cavity with some insulation (early 90's build) and then a layer of aerated concrete blocks. Above this is the studwork and then plasterboard.
I intend to fix through the stud work into the aerated concrete blocks with a 6 inch plus coach bolt or similar.
I've written to the firearms dept this evening querying this.
What you need is something akin to R-KEM11-175-KIT [Screwfix item no 4100R]. Both my cabinets were done with this kit or similarI have render on the outside with concrete blocks underneath, then a cavity with some insulation (early 90's build) and then a layer of aerated concrete blocks. Loving this 'Dream Build' series so far. Not as high end as the last Blaser video, but Tikka make a great all-round rifle too. It's not as fancy as some brands, but there's no denying they work well. Great to see so many customisation options for them too now that the US have accepted them!

I've heard of Tikka rifles, but for some reason, even before checking, I considered them too expensive. How wrong I was.
When they are available again (the local gun stores are almost empty of stock) I'll order one in .17HMR. Under $500 is an absolute bargain.

Well since you started it, here is my target from my Monday trip to the range.
This was with my .451 Hawken percussion muzzle loader with iron sights at 100m, there are 3 shots making one elongated hole, oh and I also have some .22LR scattered all over
Naturally, when I went out to 200m it all went to pot. Still I did manage to reliably hit the 18" steel at 300m with the 7.62 AK, unfortunately I couldn't tell if the .22 was on target at either 200 or 300m as it was impossible to see the impact or hear a ding.

I wish my AK was that accurate; but with the underfolder stock it's always been a bit wobbly. Well that's my excuse anyway This was with my .451 Hawken percussion muzzle loader with iron sights at 100m, there are 3 shots making one elongated hole, oh and I also have some .22LR scattered all over

As someone who has never shot Clay before but would like to (it's been a few years since I shot long range), can you just turn up and fire solo?
I like to go to the golf driivng range alone and just nail some balls downrange for an hour. It lets me chill out and it's my own space.
Can you do this with clay or do you get put with other people?

Depends on the venue. Some places have delay settings on the trap controls so you can set a 5 or maybe 10 sec delay say, and then press the button yourself, and then have time to prepare and shoot. If the venue doesn't have this function, then you need someone else to trigger the traps for you, so not easy to shoot solo.
