Mate of mine, found a nice Lee Enfield No.5 at a RFD 2 weekends ago, and applied for a 1v1 with his FET (Beds) and got his cert back in the post within 9 days, and was able to collect the rifle from the RFD today.

I’d love a No.5

But I think the cops are getting a bit tetchy at the amount I have. I’ve asked for 4 more and two stressors but that’s it then no more.

I sent my renewal off last month and asked for one more slot, as I want another Kar98k to do a sniper clone, and that's it for me, the 7 gun cabinet will be full, and having been out of work since beginning of April because of this bloody virus, even that additional 98k might not happen.

Government closing the loophole on seven obsolete calibre's, because.... reasons.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/government-clos...

I'm sure all the criminals (all half dozen of them in the country) who have these antique firearms, and already illegally held ammunition will be quaking in their boots and hand them right over to the police due to this change. Meanwhile all the criminals with illegally imported non-obsolete calibre weapons have already been taken care of with legislation because having those guns and ammunition is a crime, and crime is illegal after all.

Popped into cabelas to do some Christmas shopping and almost had to laugh - it's barren.

Some shotgun shells, a few hundred rounds of .222 (not a typo) and 6mm creedmore. Nothing else.
About 1/4 the usual number of guns they usually have.

Infinitely better people than him have tried.

Without the Senate, all of his plans are going to fail before they even start.

Without the supreme court, all of his plans will fail regardless.

Even his party has said they're scaling back their legislative plans.

Don’t you need three? So you don’t need to buy a separate cleaning rod.....

I'm about to move house shortly, into temporary accommodation for 6 months while my new house is finished, and the process of moving with shotguns is surprisingly simple.

I phoned the local firearms licensing department, and they simply said "all you have to do is send us your certificate with a letter saying where you are staying for 6 months. Then once you are in your new house, send us another letter telling us your address"

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but that seems very easy
