Very much looking forward to Milan-San Remo this afternoon.

Just seen this though, might need to be re-routed:

selective blindness by the judges. With all those cameras and photographers there must be footage.
I remember Ben Swift riding as a young man at the Velodrome many years ago along with another kid equally as good .

Desperately sad news from the Gent-Wevelgem race over the weekend, Antoine Demoitie died after a crash:

It's another reminder of the dangers of the sport we love.

Awful news, makes me really angry when I read about incidents like these. Having watched god knows how many Tour stages from the roadside as a fan, the attitude of these moto riders, regarding speed and safety, is appalling. I watched the Gent-Wevelgem yesterday and the amount of motorcycle out riders is reaching ridiculous levels. Rider safety must be a priority. Apparently you don't even need a special licence (in terms of training) to ride amongst the convoy.

It was crazy at the Tour of Britain, there must have been twice as many motorbikes as bikes. And its the ones that weren't police bikes that you noticed, they were almost all riding badly - who knows what they all doing. Was quite glad to be watching from a 6ft bank above the road to be honest.
