It's pro cycling why would you expect ether of them to be clean?
If we assume they both aren't, then in the most recent page of this thread Froome is getting abuse for being clean, and therefor being st. Yates is getting praise for winning. Presumably based on your comment it's pro cycling so he's not clean.
So who do we dislike and why exactly?

The love/hate comment was really directed at you - I probably shouldn't have quoted you as it was more a general question for the thread Campagnolo said:

Dumoulin did look spent at the end though.
Two flat stages now before the Zoncolan on Saturday, Yates will be looking to take time again but how much does he need, can he hold on and withstand the pressure of leading his first GT?
Another 'hilly' stage on Sunday before the rest day and then it's ITT time on Tuesday, 34.5km, Dumoulin will be looking to smash this and Yates.
Wednesday takes in another flattish stage, Thursday a hockey stick stage summiting on Prato Nevoso.
Friday is the Cima Coppi stage, another brute taking in the Colle delle Finestre climbing to 2178m over 18km at an avg gradient of 9% with the last 9km on gravel!
The penultimate stage is Susa to Cervina, nearly flat first 125km with 3 Cat 1 in the final 90km.
When you look at what's still to come there is plenty of racing to be done with some serious climbing to conquer, shaping up to be a good one.

Dumoulin, doping or not, impresses with his ability to climb for a big man. The way he kept digging yesterday was amazing.
It took Aru and his team several stages and loads of attacks to eventually break him when he was effectively on his own.
When Chavez was up there they could mix things up and try some different tactics with two potential winners. 1 v 1 with a big TT to come is an intriguing battle.

Another storming ride from Yates today.
Expected more from Froome after yesterday's showing.
Just seems like Froome is not in shape for this race. He gets mentioned a lot, but more due to his past performances rather than anything in the Giro this year (apart from yesterday - but that is potentially easier to do if you don't have to worry about the overall lead). I wonder if Froome will drop out now, or just continue to lose time and save his efforts for another stage win at some point.Expected more from Froome after yesterday's showing.
Brave of Yates, but that is what he needs to do. Puts the pressure on Tom now.

Froome is finished as a gt rider, yesterdays win was like a final burp some people give before dying. Epic rides from Yates, also Tommy D he just may of saved his Giro with that effort.Expected more from Froome after yesterday's showing.

Yates has more chances with the lumpy stages after the TT, even if he does slip behind Dumoulin. Having said that - the effort Dumoulin has had to make to limit his losses over the last couple of days could have an impact on his time-trial so Yates doesn't end up losing as much as everyone expects. Not sure you're right about Froome - his year is (and probably always has been) focused on TDF, going well here would have been a bonus. Clearly we'll see how that plays out later in the summer!
