Great finish in the ToB yesterday, nail biting.

Saw them come through Ottery St Mary, my home town before they went up my local leg-killer like it was barely a speed-bump...

What are Froome and Thomas doing in the ToB - still knackered from TdF? I was expecting a bit more from them!

An EPO positive result for a pretty significant rider. Makes you wonder who else is up to no good.

I think I read somewhere that Team Sky is riding for Wout Poels in this race. It's not a Grand Tour, but it's race he's done well in before, and it would be a nice payback for all the support he's given the team in the past.

Utter nobber.

It's never going away, is it. The sport will always be tarnished.

I think so, at least for as long as former dopers and doctors who’ve facilitated doping in the past are involved in the sport. It’s very sad, but without the threat of lifetime bans riders will always be tempted.

If Yates can hold on to win the Vuelta we will hold all three GT's in the same year which is mind blowing. I remember going nuts to see Barry Hoban win a stage of the TDF.

Even more mind-blowing is that it would be three different British riders.

It would be great to see Yates win the Vuelta, his interview post stage yesterday was funny smile

Still think Quintana is the biggest threat to GC mind.

Kristina Vogel has been left paralysed after her accident in June. Just awful.

Agreed, was an amazing ride by yates on a really tough stage. He looked absolutely delighted post stage yesterday.

I'm still not sure who might win overall though. Quintana looked strong the other day but lost time to yates yesterday. Today's stage is more akin to Quintana' s strengths. However, yates is looking strong and riding clever as well.

Yates isn't scared of the time trial too smile it may well be his year!

Looks like Yates has a great chance to hold on to red to the end now

Hope he has a good day today - looks like a nasty kick up at the end

nasty finish today at the Vuelta,Quintana looked cooked yesterday and Yates did ever so well to gain a few seconds on Valverde.
He needs his team around him for a few more days then he could actually win this thing and for me it would be the best GT victory by a British rider simply because he does not have a team built specifically to support him.

Looking forward to today's stage.

Dare we start to dream? All 3 GTs held by (different!) British riders...
