What a race, MvP absolute beast of a rider.
Indeed. His final acceleration was frankly ridiculous.

I was impressed by Bernal, the other 2 you would expect to be up there but not a Colombian climber.

Not the first time he's blown away the rainbow jersey up a climb; did it to Nino at Nove Mesto & Lenzerheide in 2019.

And a useless/interesting fact; all 3 on the podium have medals at off road ( MTB, CX) World Championships.

MVDP looked absolutely ridiculous on that final climb, huge power so late in the race. I'd love to know what he puts on his Weetabix, to open up a gap like that at the end of a 4.5 hour race, on that steep incline, it's like he was on another level to everyone else entirely.

1300W or something wasn't it? It was clear he was going to monster them after his burst on the last gravel sector, but he made the World Champion, on a finish that suited him perfectly, look like an amateur. Wonder what the odds are on him for a Flanders-Roubaix double?

I’m not sure where it’s going to go though unless Freeman starts singing like a canary. There doesn’t seem to be any more specific evidence about anyone else involved. So whilst suspicion will abound, all those know really know will just plead ignorance.

Whoever the impicated rider(s) are, i bet they are bloody glad that freeman destroyed his laptop.

Lets hope he coughs up the names, or perhaps a disgruntled ex rider will beat him to it,

So much for omerta being a thing of the past. What joke.

The biggest joke is that people think would think cycling was ever clean when Sky were winning, Sky win a race everyones clean, Sky get beaten the dopers are back. Look back at the early pages on this thread, people actually believing in the rounder wheels and fluffy pillows bullst turning a track pursuiter into a grand tour winner

I hope that they tell the truth to stop everyone being tarred with the same brush. If it's only one person that should be a no brainer. If they don't do it I'll assume there's a good reason not to ..............

Roglic showing good early season form at Paris Nice, likewise Pogacar at Tirreno Adriatico.

Milan - San Remo this weekend coming, first monument of the 2021 season, they had to take out the Turchino due to a landslide and replace with the Giovo.

MvdP surely has to be favourite, could we see a deviating attack on the Poggio?

MSR will most likely be a bunch sprint, the big names will be covering each other on the poggio as they all know they have a sprint in them. The interesting bit is whether the likes of Matthews, Ewan and Bennett can top Poggio within sight of them and hope what’s left of the peloton can bring them back.

Signing Michael Barry in their debut season was bold to say the least....

Well that was one hell of an afternoons racing. VdP at least had the decency to look vaguely human in the closing km of Tirreno whilst I was gutted for Roglic at Paris Nice. He showed the same class as he had at the Tour last year though, congratulating Schachmann when he finally crossed the finish line.

I was amazed how he held on, Van Aert showed a lot of grit in limiting his losses as well.

Roglic even more impressive now we find out he dislocated his shoulder in one of the crashes...

What a week of racing it’s been.
