lance is the best bike racer to ever live. i think the move is 100x better than any of the other pods
The history books show him to be the best something, but it isn't "bike racer". Just checked and his TdF record stands at 3xDNFs and a 36th. Ouch.

Sorry to lower the tone, but he can’t give a credible opinion about anything to do with cycling. What does he know about the way a clean bike racer should race
Fantastic racing today. Just what we like to see. Crazy that 3 days ago ITV’s pundits all tipped Tadej to win this even with JV more than 2 mins ahead. Thought that was an outrageous call at the time! JV is a beast.

Is there a UK timetriallist who would come anywhere close to the pros on this rolling course?
This is the UK TT records, over 25 miles, I.e. close to the same distance as todays stage.https://www.cyclingtimetrials.org.uk/articles/view...
I appreciate these records will be from very fast (flat) courses, but would say ‘yes’ in short, there are UK testers who could post respectable stage times. Whether they could achieve that after 19 tour stages over the preceding 21 days is another matter!

If Taj had a team around him, could he have won it?
Given that Pog is only 3:34 behind a range of outcomes are possible. If he hadn't blown up on stage 11 the time gap would have been less than 30 seconds. If he hadn't been following so many attacks he would have been unlikely to blow up.Talksteer said:

And if your father's sister Roberta, had testicles, she would have been your father's brother Robert.Edited by The Mad Monk on Sunday 24th July 06:33
No love for the Tour de France Femmes?
I've got a free pass for GCN+ and you can see it live or a half-hour highlights show after.
Some good racing, plus some spectacular crashes. Vos is looking strong and looks likely to keep the yellow jersey for the next few days, but given how Podajcer lost a heap of time and the lead in one climb, anything is possible

I've been watching. Bit pissed off with Eurosport moving the highlights all over the place. Settled down at 9 to watch them yesterday and they weren't on till 11.30. Still double bubble tonight.I've got a free pass for GCN+ and you can see it live or a half-hour highlights show after.

That crash when the AUS lady went full tilt in to the other one looked horrible.
