There are few things in the life of an English cricket fan which are more satisfying than watching Australian bowlers sent to all parts of the stands.

We've set a convincing new world record score for an ODI. Australia have some decent batsmen, but they're going to walk out thinking "9.6 runs per over. Every over". That's a tough enough ask in T20.

There's scoreboard pressure, and there's that.

Well the Crims said they wanted to chase when they won the toss. Chase that!

One wonders how long it is before we see Finch and Maxwell. Those 2 can definitely do some damage to the run rate!

Skip was 50 off 21 - fastest half by an England player.

An utter humiliation for the sandpaper team, let’s see Langer sledge his way out of that.

Warne, Hayden, Ricky, Waugh(s) your boys took a helluva beating..

Wait there is more, for all the cocky, ocker ste we have had to put up with, from the crims

They totally deserved this, for KP, the pie on Tuffers head, the mental breakdown the Aussie celebrated in Trott, the years and years of sledging, gamesmanship, underarm bowling and bringing onto the field of play other play comments about other people’s wives, and the sandpaper and ALL the bullst they have inflicted on the world about the spirit of cricket whilst refusing to walk....

For all the Aussie chip over the years, this could not have happened to a nicer bunch

On Yer’ Aussie !

It’s often the way with a big target, to have any hope of winning they have to come out playing very aggressively, it’s all abit death or glory.

They must know they’ve got very little chance of winning though but have to go for it.

I read this, and immediately thought of one of those quite amusing channel 5 cricket related advertisement bookends about family garden and beach cricket being taken too seriously. You know, the one about being magnanimous in victory and defeat with the bowler running round the garden celebrating a wick... Oh no not out. Bugger.

Anyway, then I thought about that bloke in the crowd with a bushman's hat with the dangling corks replaced by sanding discs.

And then I thought, bah feck it, get in England, indeed, for all the Ocker's chip over the years, enjoy the moment boys, we will, you won't. Boo effing hoo. Well deserved.

Another set of arses handed to the Aussies again today, perhaps they need to time to rebuild.

Good to see from England that the Scotland result was just a brilliant performance from the Scots.

When you set 310 and have a side chasing that knows it can hit 480.....

Fair play to Paine, he is at least dignified in the face of an utter and total shambles of a five set of ODI’s - this is supposed to be a key plank in their World Cup preparation.

Some more practice against spinners might be in order.

A more sedate whipping in today's match biggrin loved the 'catch' between Roy and Overton - excellent!

I'm led to believe that the team actually practices this type of scenario. It shows just how professional they have become.

I recall one catch by Ben Stokes when he realised he was going to run over the boundary, flipped the ball into the air, ran back onto the pitch and caught it before it could touch the ground. Stunning stuff.

Aussies are in deep trouble and unfortunately for them, there's no way to sandpaper over the cracks.

Where's that Aussie chap who used to be all over the cricket threads and had a picture of the team with 9 slips and in his profile? Come on Ocker, chirp up! hehe

Superb game today. Buttler heading towards a century and a whitewash at the moment, but all could change.

Geeat atmosphere at Old Trafford as well, with giant inflatable melons the star of the day....

Ockers could nick this. 9 down, 11 runs needed.
