Can’t believe they’re actually going ahead with this nonsense.

“There will be no six-ball overs in the 100-balls-a-side cricket tournament to be introduced in 2020. In the radical new format ten balls will be bowled from one end, followed by ten from the other — with nine changes of end in an innings.

Each bowler can bowl up to 20 balls in total but the ten balls from each end can be bowled either by one bowler or two bowling five each — and it will be for the captain to decide”

It's a stupid, idiotic fix to something that isn't really broken.

More than 20k at Old Trafford tonight for the Roses match, some fantastic T20 matches tonight though some of them were ruined by the weather (which will be the same whether it's 20 overs or 16.4)

Off topic slightly, was watching Joe Root tonight. He played an excellent innings of 50-odd off 21 balls and I was ready to come on here to praise him up. But then when they need 5 runs off the last 2 balls, he refuses a second run leaving Kane Williamson to need a four off the last ball. Williamson can't find the boundary, and runs 2. But if Root had chanced it and come back for a seocnd that he could have got, they would have tied the game.

Michael Vaughan might need to think about winding his neck in a bit more these days. His comment about Adil Rashid being "a good kid… he is a bit dozy but he is low maintenance and does not cause trouble" doesn't sound good.

Good luck getting a former Yorks captain not to speak their mind.

Michael Vaughan is a sort of parody of a Yorkshireman, and immensely irritating. It's like he's been possessed by the ghost of Boycott at his most obnoxious.

Anyone here going in for being a World Cup Cricketeer? scratchchin (Volunteers for next year's Cricket World Cup in England & Wales)

Applied a month or so ago, filled in the forms and went for an afternoon's activities at Gloucestershire CC today. Good fun, I've been scheduled for accreditation which was a little disappointing as I wanted media but hey ho, it's a role that might get me some contact with a few stars, if only to tell them they can't go somewhere as they're not allowed.... hehe

Should hear back in 4-5 weeks, training after Christmas, whole thing starts on 30th May.

Have managed to get 6 tickets for the England vs WI at the Rose Bowl.

But know, not enough time on my hands to take that on. But fair play to you, good luck.

In other news - Pakistan handing the Aussies their absolute arse at the moment.

Match fixing allegations against England Test & ODI players, amongst others.
Recorded phone calls & results then matching the alleged fixes.
Looks bad.

They're apparently refusing to share the evidence with the ICC, which casts a lot of doubt over the claims.
