ECB finally announced games in June are “postponed”...so that’s the Windiest series....be amazed if we get any cricket this summer although much easier to see how they could keep distance for the players than you could in football or rugby.
I was thinking about this. The only two people on the pitch within 2 metres of each other would be the umpire and attacking bowler. Even slips are farther apart than that surely?nicanary said:

Team sports will be one of the last things unlocked IMO.
Heres a fun quiz. Managed 130. Few I just couldn’t remember at all and couple I struggled with the spelling.

Sky have been showing the Trent Bridge Test from 2015.
The one where Cook won the toss, put Australia in, and by lunch on the first day, we were batting. The greatest day in England's Test history?
It was all over after ten overs of the third day. I can never tire of watching this match.

No professional domestic cricket before 1st August. Recreational cricket's return remains under discussion.

I was just reading this on the BBC , So missing TMS on these beautiful summers days.https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/52831969
Seems nothing else in sport matters other than the bloody premier league.
It is the Premier League announcement that has made me wonder why cricket cannot commence until August at the earliest?
I'm guessing that the County Championship will be all but abandoned as the time frame makes it pretty much impossible to complete even a reduced season of everyone playing everyone once. The counties would prefer to play the T20 Blast for the revenue I'm sure, but if it's all without spectators that defeats the point of that too.
Some Test cricket is probably the best we can hope for. Missing TMS too - especially as I'm working from home.

Just hoping the World 20/20 cup scheduled to start mid October gets the green light.
Still think we could get a shortened 20/20 blast done this summer, Especially if the football goes to plan.
I know there is still hope of the West Indies coming over but i really cant see the worth in this if the grounds are going to be empty .

In other slightly cricket-related news, Monty was on a repeat of Celebrity Mastermind last evening.
It didn't go well. Poor sod looked like a rabbit in the headlights, at times I'm sure that he would have preferred to face Shaun Tait or Mitchell Johnson than John Humphrys. He scored six in his specialist subject (the Sikh religion) and one in the General Knowledge round.
Fair play to him for sticking his hand up and doing it, but I can't help feeling that even Phil Tufnell would have done a better job.
