Glorious isn’t it.
Running their mouths off before a ball was bowled and now headed for an innings defeat.
Can’t wait for the post match interviews !
Top sthousery from the Indians, not only watering the pitch after telling the Aussies they could practice on it on what would have been day 4, but when they could get onto the ground on day 5 the scoreboard still had the full details of their second innings horror show on display. Running their mouths off before a ball was bowled and now headed for an innings defeat.

Apparently all the tellies in the public areas of the Australian team hotel had highlights of their collapse showing on a loop too.
I see our chums The Crims AKA Spirit of Cricket Australia have found a way to cheat the review system.
Basically when the Keeper takes the ball if there is a chance there was a thin edge or catch he is stumping the batter. Thus the SQL Umpire calls for the third ump.
They automatically check every mode of dismissal, but because the umpire called it Aus keep the review.
Have done it four times so far in the India series.
Hmmm.

I saw that on Facebook earlier. It's really poor form even if it's a loop hole. Suppose it's not as bad as secret sandpaper in your jockstrap Basically when the Keeper takes the ball if there is a chance there was a thin edge or catch he is stumping the batter. Does anyone remember a bowler named Duncan Spencer? I came across a video of him bowling against Viv Richards and he is lethal, Richards calls him the fastest bowler he has ever faced.

Just watched the CSK innings of the first 2023 IPL match.
It seems painfully slow. Two hours for twenty overs? I'm sure it used to be quicker.
Probably because of the sponsored timeout, the sponsored end of an over, the sponsored mosquito flying past, the sponsored fielder scratching his balls. It seems painfully slow. Two hours for twenty overs? I'm sure it used to be quicker.
Great to see the Modhi stadium pretty much full for the opening match. Think that's the biggest sports stadium in the world regardless of sport.
Shame Stokes was out cheaply, buy let's be honest as ENG fans we don't him over exerting himself this spring when his real job is the Ashes.

Crazyness in the first game today with GT setting KKR 205 to win, KKR needed 39 to win from 8 balls whilst 7 down and Rinku won it in it in style!
The last 8 balls went for 64166666!
And Rashid Khan had earlier grabbed a hat trick too, incredible match. The last 8 balls went for 64166666!
The last over was insane, bowler kept lobbing full tosses and they were being launched for 6 Guess he was hoping he would just edge one and be out.
its the remit of the ipl, bowlers lobbing up full tosses to be hit for 6 to much hysterics from crowds who revel in that.
its the whole point of the comp. skills don't really matter. rinse repeat. gets boring after 2 minutes
Proper cricket started last week, and chapeau to Leics for their fantastic run chase vs. Yorks.

Watching the IPL this afternoon/evening. Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals. The sound is crap, no atmosphere sound from the stadium and you can't hear the ball hitting the bat. With the commentators you can hear another commentary team in the background! Is it this crap for everyone or is there a channel out on my broadcast?
ETA: switched surround sound amp from Dolby to 5 Channel Stereo and it's fine!

Nice. Is that a hybrid strip? Wimbledon have one - v good surface for batters and bowlers.
No I don’t think it is.It’s a private school (£7k per term!) with their own full time ground staff with amazing facilities.
Have played on it a few times against a local club who use it for Sunday friendlies
