I’ve played 3 matches so far - had another 3 cancelled due to the weather.
Thankfully the pitches are firming up now.

Got a T20 on Wednesday night and then another two matches at the weekend.

Played on this last Sunday though - amazing considering the weather we’ve had.

That tree at 'Cow corner' is a bit daunting!

Went to the Vitality Blast at Northampton. Northants got spanked. The Durham innings was a good watch. Ton for Clark including a six out of the ground.

Despite watching every format going on TV for years its the first time I've watched a professional match in real life.

I was at the Oval watching Sean Abbott blast a century off just 34 balls. Stunning hitting!

My lad was there last night too, couldn't believe what he was seeing.

Last game he went to, Somerset hit a record 265 before bowling Derbyshire out for 80-odd. He's picking his games well at the moment... hehe

The IPL final was wild. Will put in spoiler tags in case anyone is catching up tomorrow. For the shortest format of the game it's dragged over 3 days and at 1:30am IST there is still about 80k people in the stands. People were sleeping in the train station after it was postponed.

I was backing CSK from the start for a few reasons, of course because of Stoksey and Ali but I love Dhoni as well and the regard the fans have for him is amazing.

Getting towards the death and it looked game over, then there was I think 4 sixes and a four, but then a wicket, but then the crowd goes wild as MSD comes in to bat, but then he goes for a golden. fk!

Then 10 from two balls, Jadeja hits a six, down the final ball. A 3 is unlikely so it's win or lose and Jadeja cuts it for a 4. Brilliant game of cricket.

100% agree, Scabutz, it was a wonderful game of cricket, it had everything. I'd go as far as to say this might have been the best IPL tournament yet; the numbers were fantastic. And that stadium they played the final in, wow. Would be on my bucket list to go there for an IPL final...

As for the game, again no spoilers but I was in a quandary too. If I was wrting down my all time favourite cricket XI, both Dhoni and Rashid Khan would be in it, just a shame that one of them had to be on the losing side. Incredible finish though and the atmosphere was something else.

It is a mad place. Biggest sports stadium in the world apparently.

Definitely a bucket list to watch the final there.

Always fun seeing a tree on the field - one of the grounds we use has a couple and its 4 runs if you hit one, even on the full.

If over the fence is "six and out" (backyard rules), hitting a tree on the full is?

What is the point of the current test...an exercise in pointlessness it almost give the IPL credence as cricket rather than a scripted lob it up thrash fest, that isn't at all contrived to entertain a hysterical consumer set.

Anyone following the world Test champs final at the Oval? Looks like the crims are getting their eye in and building a big total.

On the plus side, if India can take them into the final day, they'll only have three days rest to prepare for the first Ashes Test next week.

Yeah been watching the BBC. Started of in Indias favour with some big scalps but they've let Smith and Head get comfortable and they are running away with it.

As you say let's hope they can draw it out and tire them a bit

Yeah been watching all day, bit closer in the first session.
Head looks good, glad he has got his first foreign century out the way, Smith we know all about

After I remembered there was a game on (didn't know it was the Final) I have been watching it since after lunch and enjoying it. Looked if tickets are still available, Friday-Sunday are sold out.

Australians being Australians.

Don’t leave the field until the decision has been made. Plonkers.

Indeed, my wife was watching and as they walked of said that it was a bit disrespectful as it had gone to review. Then we both laughed when the clear contact was shown on 'Snicko' rofl

Just started a new job two months ago and our first works do last night was pizzas from a restaurant and off to Gloucestershire v Somerset at the County Ground, Bristol.... beer

Team were split 50/50 between both sides, I guess, with me & my sons massive Somerset fans, Was rewarded with some fabulous weather and a simply brilliant innings from Will Smeed who was caught for 94 off 35 on the boundary; had it gone for the six, would have been the sixth quickest T20 century in history.

Glos had no answer and apart from early on, never looked like chasing down the 232 needed for victory. Somerset absolutely flying this season with eight wins from nine games.... clap

Indians being Indians, moaning about the pitch since they are losing. 750 scored in three days, but yeah the pitch was ''underprepared''
