A bit of a shame, really. India really worked hard to halt the Aus batting onslaught, and they came in to bat strong. After all that, the first wicket seemed to be the end of it.
Much as I love watching th Ozzies lose at anything, Clarke is a superb captain, leading a hell of a team. Should be a cracking final. I'll be at work for it, however. Boohoo.

Can't wait for the final. Australia to win.
Interesting. I'd have the teams pegged pretty close. Australia has a great depth of talent but the kiwis play an attacking game.Looking back at the last game they played it would seem batting through a few more overs would be the obvious place to start looking for improvement by both teams.

The Aussies will probably win this but I hope they lose the toss and NZ give them 300+ to create that psychological advantage.
As a neutral British person I want the underdog to win.
You have to get through the pool matches first...As a neutral British person I want the underdog to win.
I don't pretend to be unbiased, but the finalists are clearly the best teams in the tournament, and I would say pretty evenly matched.
The MCG is a big ground, so I think lots of 1/2/3 run balls will be the key.

As an Australian, I hope for one of the umpires to be English, or my joke will have failed.
There is some luck in ODI's, but I dont think any of the quarter and semi final results were an anomaly. SA and NZ were closely matched, as were AUS and NZ earlier. Both of those matches could have gone either way, but that is a measure of how close the teams were, not luck.
If it were all down to chance, the finallists would be a random set of teams.

I don't really follow cricket close enough, well for other countries. I know this guy has a good eye but what on earth was his plan here? The second ball he faced he's down the track in the first over of the game?
It has worked for him in the tournament so far, but Starc is a class above most of the other bowlers, in my opinion.NZ playing some streaky shots, but getting away with it so far.
