I’ve got the form goggles, they’re great.
I use them mainly for open water swimming and you can just switch off and swim and ever so often check out your time etc.
The pace is average for the whole swim so if the gps goes wonky at the start it looks like you're doing a great pace and then slowly settles down.
I think they’re on sale 15% off at the moment too,
I pair mine with an Apple Watch.
Some great info here about them.

Looks like, they add taxes at checkout so the final price and tax etc looks to be more but not sure?
Amazon also seem to have them reduced. To £150 also and that will include all extras.

I got mine from Amazon last October and think they were about £150 also.

They do look good and I like gadgets, if I'm swimming will it display what length I'm on? I'm not competitive at all just like to see how many lengths I've done. Usually do 30-33mins swim.
Yes and if you’re outside it will show gps distance and swim time etc from your smart watch Loads of info on the dc rainmaker links earlier.

Ah ace, I don't do outside swimming (do fancy giving it a go as lake local to me does it) and my smart watch is a Omega Seamaster, nothing smart about it haha.
I bought a Garmin Fenix 3 a few years back and absolutely love it and haven't taken it off....I'm thinking about selling both my Omegas as they just sit there now. They might look a bit smarter, but with a big Garmin watch...I think I look more like an athletic outdoorsy type hunk instead of a suit wearing number cruncher (which in reality I am)

Not sure I can be bothered keeping an automatic watch wound while I wear something electronic for swimming. Maybe just treat myself to something with a really big second hand to time my lengths. Shame the pool cant just fix their clocks
If anyone’s interested, the Australian swimming trials for Olympic and Paralympic selection started today in Adelaide - can be watched on Amazon Prime. Goes on to Thursday 17 June. PB Jnr2’s club has sent 7 swimmers which is pretty good, and a few from other clubs that she regularly races against have also qualified for the trials - which is fantastic to see.

Looking forward to this!
Holy cr@p. Rocked up to the 3rd Masters session back at my local club to be told it was time trial day, under gala conditions, right down to the officials in their pressed whites, so times can count for rankings. Was going to be interesting after the two gentle, endurance building sessions and splash in a public free for all since March 2020.
Started with 50m free - not so bad aside from enjoying my dive a bit too much and forgetting it was a sprint. Also flip turned a little early and missed a good push.31 and change vs a mid 28 relay swim in Feb last year.. Not so different given the mistakes.
The rest all went by in a haze, with only 5 mins between events. Recollection of breaststroke was HTF I managed 12 strokes out and 15 back. Used to be 8/10. Guess the running over lockdown has killed my kick / distance per stroke.
Backstroke next, which featured an asthma attack -
it's been bothering me again since March.
Arms were starting to shut down and I recall a very long kick in after my usual 3 strokes when under the flags. Inhaler was on hand and I was partially recovered for...
50m fly - took it steady and and happy enough to finish in one piece. Then only about 3mins before:
100IM - took the first half like it was a 200, then picked up the effort on the second half.
Gave up checking the times, but guess high 30s or low 40s. Probably should have called it a day after the backstroke- took a good 30mins of lying down after the IM.
Will call it a shock to the system/ hard training session.

Sounds like Level X?
Sadly I couldn't make my new club's Level X session a couple of Sundays ago, so I couldn't demonstrate my best Caeleb Dressel impersonation to my new club mates.
Am slowly starting to get fitter and training at the new club has given me a bit of a push, there are a lot more quick guys there.

That's brilliant, great to set an early benchmark where you can (so long as you avoid injury).Started with 50m free - not so bad aside from enjoying my dive a bit too much and forgetting it was a sprint. Any of you aiming to go to Rome next year?

Had not heard of this until yesterday evening, but yes, it was Level X.Early benchmark indeed... should be easy enough to improve.
My 10 year old daughter, who had the advantage of getting back in the water ~6 weeks before me, improved by ~2s across the board vs a similar time trail event a month ago. She's now slightly ahead of where she was in Feb/March 2020. Must be nice when getting older makes you faster!

Maybe, depends on the dates and school holidays and whether I can convince a six year old to go on holiday to the Eternal City and sit in a swimming pool... I was entered for Budapest last year, but that clearly never happened.
Just doing some events in this country would be a start! I see on the Masters FB group that a decision is soon to be made on Nationals at Sheffield. Had better get some training in.

Sorry if this isn’t the right thread but I see that Sun ayanv Chinese swimmer has been banned good and proper thus time. Wasn’t he the guy that the second placed swimmer refused to shake hands on the podium. Should be stripped of his titles!
That was the Aussie Mack Horton at World's 2019 after the 400 free (also our Duncan Scott refused to stand on the podium with him after the 200).The case today was a re-hearing of a previous CAS case where he was given a 8 year ban, today that was essentially reduced to 4.5 years. FINA's original decision was that he didn't warrant a ban...
Not sad that he won't be in Tokyo.
