hopkins is up there with moore for longevity......he trumps him for top level performance at such an advanced age.

another notable chap that deserves mention is bob fitzsimmons......after beating nonpariel jack dempsey ( no relation) for the middleweight crown then going RIGHT UP TO HEAVYWEIGHT to beat corbett .....then at 40 years old went down to win the light heavyweight title from george gardner(who's career i am particularly interested in at the moment as i am about to acquire the signature of jack root who gardner knocked out in 1902 before root challenged hart for the heavyweight title that jeffreies vacated in 1904)

title wins in 3 divisions over 12 years in a career that ran for nearly 35 years....phenomenal

Moore's achievement in being the longest-reigning Light Heavyweight world champion in history is often cited as being something amazing, but the reality was it was only made possible because he was fast-tracked to the title in the first place.

I mean, gifting a world title shot to a novice with barely 17 years in the paid ranks, who had only scraped a pitiful 131 wins as a pro during that time...well, it's laughable really. Whatever happened to the idea of learning your trade...?!?!

IF Bellew fights Ward, Bellew loses.

If Parker fights Ward, Parker loses.

If Ward fights Joshua, Ward loses. -

Got hit with Kovalev jab quite freely - I understand Kovalev movement/jab is better than Joshua, but AJ has no worry about Wards power so can wait it out. Would stop him within 5 easily

Think he should go for Bellew, then Parker - Don't think Bellew wants any part of Usyk. - Overcome them two, WIlder fight? Can't see them wild ones hitting Ward.

Damn I missed the boxing tonight. Didn't realise it was on!

Wish there was a reliable way of forecasting what is being shown on TV - used to use Bad Left Hook TV schedules but it is proving less than reliable.

This will tell you today's action for free. Upgrade to see days in the future. Good for all sports.

European amateur amateur champs on live on BBC website (maybe red button too)

havent caught much of it but heard some questionable judging has been abound.

McGrail boxing at bantam in the final now, received a point deduction in the 2nd for low head (his head movement has been awesome though) and he certainly wasn't below the waistline. Funnily enough its in a fight against a Ukrainian in Ukraine. Won on Split Decision i think.

But only because he won so clearly in my eyes, can see why some amateurs become disillusioned and turn pro as in some events its like there's some determined bias to home fighters. (UK included)

Good. Hughie is very, very good and doesn't need to get caught up in the recent Fury circus. I think he can do it.

I hope Hughie can pull this one off. It'll be a bloody boring fight though.

As good Rigo is, and his is great, Lomochenko is too big for him, they're not in the same weight and size category Imo.
