So what's the view on Price and Bellew flooring Haye in the gym?

I think Haye would take him apart if the fight were ever to happen. A heavyweight Haye before he retired the first time might be able to boil back down to make the fight happen at cruiser. Can't see it happening now, although he isn't huge by any means he is carrying a lot more weight than he used to.

Surely Lebedev is a better fight for Bellew right now, might not be as lucrative but its a lot more likely to happen than Haye.

Can anyone see the fight actually happening though ? Bellew wont risk going up to heavyweight or even fighting at catchweight and Haye wont make cruiserweight.

Who cares? I don't. It's just another made up Eddie Hearn bad blood fantasy to get ppv.

The fight does not make a lot of sense really. Bellew fights at 200 pounds (previously a lot less as a light heavy) and Haye has now pumped himself past 225.

Bellew was stopped convincingly by a light heavyweight (Stevenson) so I could not see him going past 5 rounds against the power of Haye.

Hearn sees himself as the Simon Cowell of British Boxing doesn't he? manipulating the paying public with multiple projects. I don't mind too much of course, so long as the fights are real then thats all that matters.

Absolutely gutted for derry....that's the best I've ever seen Luke Campbell and those body shots would have brought down a bull. How he got up and fired back I'll never know. Absolute warrior through and through. If he goes now he's had a career that 99% of pro boxers could only dream of.proud to say he's my mate.
Bellew couldn't afford to be that careless against Haye....!!!but I don't think he would be....I reckon they'll end up fighting you know!

Pass on some praise for Derry from me. I know I said Campbell should win easily, and he did win convincingly, I was very impressed with Derry's toughness. I think it is time for Derry to retire now- he's had a great career with some classic fights (Crolla springs to mind), but realistically there isn't anything he can do from here.

I'd be interested to know how much Derry cuts, he's so square is almost comical he's got the shoulders of a guy twice his weight. I wonder if he could have moved up a few years ago, I don't think he would have struggled to soak up bigger punchers.

As for Haye, he'll do owt for an easy quid, Bellew just wants a big pay day to retire on I think and he knows Haye is the biggest pay day out there for him.

Some really class champions in boxing lately.

Anyhow AJ v Klitscho, oh yes that I'd pay to see. Now that will be a measure of how good AJ is. Fair enough a bit late for Wlad but still though.

Telegraph is reporting it's a done deal for 10th December:

£30m purse. To be made public early this week. If true. will need to find a sports bar in Toronto to watch!

even out of training you'd be surprised at how close he walks around to the weight....literally a few lb over, that's all.....absolute pro through and through

don't forget the guy started out as a super bantam!!...then went up through feather and so on

he hasn't said he's gonna go but i think he will....you just never know with derry, a few months ago he couldn't get anyone to fight him then campbell turns up......given how he lives in the gym i wouldn't be surprised if eddie suddenly turns up a fight against someone like cardle you know

Agreed, probably the most exiting fight since MayPac (pre result)

I think it will be announced on Wednesday after Fury has had his hearing

Looks like WBA Super title will be on the line for AJ vs. WK but the WBO belt will be Parker vs. Ruiz in January.

See Bernard Hopkins has announced his retirement fight against Joe Smith jr. To be honest, I'm slightly surprised by this one; okay Smith has got a bit of recognition for his KO of Fonfara (who had previously beaten Nathan Cleverly) in a round in his last outing but, other than that, is essentially unheralded. As such, I'm not really sure what he adds to the Hopkins CV unless they're taking a punt that one day he'll win a world title so will have the scalp of another world champion (should he win). Personally I'd have thought the Braehmer fight would have been the one to go for but clearly that ship has sailed...

yeah, can't really see the point tbh....

finally got around to watching the breidis fight on sky(i got to the arena too late and missed him)....seems he's mandatory for bellew's wbc belt....i thought there must have been a reason for sticking him on the bill......

yet again he looked fking great.beautiful set ups for knockout shots with his uppercuts and foot movement. looks to be a special talent this guy...

god, i really hope the wba sanction this bout as i don't really want to see wlad fight lucas browne and i definitely don't want to see joshua fight eric molina ( the rumoured stand in opponent for the december 10th fight)
