Did anyone see the Andrew Selby fight last Friday? Shameful scoring from the judges.
I did see it, though I only stumbled upon it about 10mins before it started as I happened to be flicking through the TV listings. If C5 are serious about showing boxing, I think they need to make a greater effort to publicise their broadcasting of the shows, especially as they aren't particularly frequent events.Cards might have been a bit generous but I don't think there was much controversy in the result...I thought Selby's performance was genuinely noteworthy when you consider he's still a novice (that was only his ninth fight) and his opponent had only lost a couple of times in over 20 fights, including taking Kal Yafai the distance. Can see Selby potentially going on to become one of the real outstanding British fighters of his generation...

I thought Bellew's comments were a bit distasteful after Groves win especially given how he won his title. Felt very attention grabbing and maybe that was his intention
He's enjoying his moment in the sun I guess. A prime, fit Haye would have ended his career. The fight ended up in his lap, Haye's foot was mashed and took his chance.FredClogs said:
Lee has always said Andrew is better than him.
I see that Connor Mcgregor is now looking to get Pacqiao in the ring as Mayweather looks to be giving backword... Might go to vegas and hang round for a bit, you never know I might get a match up with him eventually...
Is it just me that's beginning to find this whole McGregor vs Mayweather or any other boxer situation a bit irritating now? he'll surely have some very tough mandatory to face soon
I saw a rumour a day or so ago that he was going to fight Arthur Abraham in Germany for £3m. Interesting fight if it were to happen but can't see it being a £3m purse in total, let alone that just being Eubank's cut...
Hmm...a couple of dates are being mentioned now; 15th or 22nd July (and in London, not Germany).
Actually, a fight over here could make good sense for both fighters...for Eubank, it's a home tie against a credible but ageing opponent, with a win properly establishing him in the division (and potentially even getting him a mandatory position with the WBO...though Ramirez sounds quality!); for Abraham, it's a match-up with a high profile but largely unproven fighter and victory would get his name front and centre over here in a division where, fingers crossed, there will soon be three of the four belts held.
