Clearly ended early FFS

I am not an expert but the last shot definitely looked like it hurt Kovalev and was low.

I'd argue that the last 3 were all low and the last one appeared to be coming from soooo deep and on an upward trajectory that Kovalow must have felt his nuts in his throat for a second or two. Any lower and ward would have scrapped his elbow on the canvas.

There's something about Rigondeaux...just seems to be one of those people for whom life was never meant to run smoothly.

Oh and ain't Paulie Malignaggi brilliant...?!?!

Early stoppage for me, definitely pouches to the dick as well... What the fk has happened to the standing 8 count? With body punches especially, give the guy a standing 8 count, ffs, id it just me, I cant remember the last time I saw someone take a standing 8 count, have I just imagined that they're part of the boxing rules?

The rigendoux debacle was shocking refereeing as well. He's so good though, to be fair I'd have done the same thing.

Ward vs Kovalev was a great fight to be honest, it's just a shame it ended the way it did. It was also impossible to see if those shots were low as every replay either had the ropes in the way or the referee in the way.

Regardless of whether you viewed them as low or not, the fight should absolutely not have been halted when it was. I do believe that Kovalev had nothing left to give but the fight should have been allowed to have run it's course to give us a definitive answer.

I don't think a third match on the trot is necessary for them, well, at least not straight away. I'd like to see Ward beat Stevenson and Kovalev take on another top fighter to build the fight again. I think they'll both struggle with Beterbiev though...

I'm amazed Rigondeaux didn't get DQ'd after holding Flores's head and going to work on him. The punch after the bell is a lot more difficult to prove as they were both swinging and neither had any real intention of hitting after the bell and would have struggled to stop those punches from connecting.

Real sour taste after that stoppage. Kovalev was a bit dazed after the great shot from previously from Ward, but if the correct call was made and Ward was deducted and SK was given as much time as needed to recover, he's weathered the storm from that round, 1 up on my card at least, but drawn and up on the judges. The fights now back open, SK isn't going to want to take anymore to the body, and maybe start using more pressure and throwing bombs.

His jab was certainly supreme in the fight. Ward was brilliant as well, and the stoppage has ruined what could have been a brilliant fight.

going to put £10,000 on mayweather @ 1.18
99.99% sure he'll win and for 18% return it's a no brainier compared to being sat in the bank doing fa

Kin hell... Really? Fair play. Sounds like a plan. I wouldn't be able to watch it with the thought of loosing £10k in the blink of an eye.

It's not the first time I've done it (canelo kahn/ ggg brook / Harrison haye / Harrison wilder)
There's always value with this retarded mismatched fights where people cling onto mythical factors like 'hope' for the win!

But yeah it can be a tough watch, ggg brook for a couple of rounds was tense

fkin hell pal!!!.... balls of brass there. i couldn't stomach the loss in the event of the upset...and they do happen!!!...

i couldn't bring myself to go big in vegas because the thought of how hard i had to graft for it....and how quickly it could evaporate....sends shudders down my spine at the recklessness of it....quite ironic really given that in business I'm very cavalier in attitude...but i like being in control ....and I'm in control of my own destiny wheras i couldn't put my trust in mayweather not getting tagged!!.....as unlikely as that scenario is..

Completely understand, I've lost money through investments and the stock market before so I have a somewhat disconnected attitude towards gambling in this sense.

Ordinarily I'll bet small amounts for fun but when an over hyped fight with great value comes along then I'll bet. If I eventuality lose then I'll never do it again.

Ha ha, what's the odds for him taking Floyd down, mounting him and getting the ground and pound going?

Canelo vs GGG - that is the real super fight this year, it's not long now until things will start winding up, anyone willing to put a big bet on that?

This is a proper 50-50 fight. So no, I won't be betting on it. I can't even say who I think will win!
