Little surprised at him. He showboated throughout his kickboxing and MMA career, but I thought he would have dialled it down for orthodox boxing, but it was his debut, the opponent was st but I think he has a future in this sport. Will be following his journey with interest.

I doubt it somehow, unless he starts again from scratch, Haye talking rubbish now - at least Jnr is being a bit more honest/tactful lol

Just tuned in. Looking forward to seeing Joe Joyce.
He looks awful, commentors are on the Haye payroll, as is the ref who looks like he is desperate to stop it.

I've got the opposite tbh. I'm thinking they are just dragging this out for air time

Not saying Joyce is losing, just looks terrible.

Certainly not the technical genius that the commentator call him in round 5.

Joe is a real slugger he is going to hurt you if you stand still long enough . His problem is he only has one speed and it is so slow.
I know most people here realise this I think he is a really nice guy who at some point is going to take a real beating

Feeling surprisingly underwhelmed by that.

Slow and not sure his hands are that heavy.

Does seem to have the good engine they talk about but he just didn't seem to have 'it'.

Just throws a lot of punches for a big guy... slowly and softly biggrin

No, I couldn't do better - LOL

To be fair to Joe Joyce that fella was better than he looked and has been at a higher level than most debut heavyweights would face until a fee fights in... But these days a heavy weight without devastating knock out power is really going to struggle to capture the limelight, if Joyce is going to have a half decent time of it over the next few years he's got to start banging some people over., he was far to conservative in there.

He is such a nice lad I hope people have not been feeding him crap . He isn't going to become an agile big heavyweight puncher and I can see him getting hurt against the big boys.

Did they say Lewisham had an eleven week camp? He lasted far longer than I thought he would.

Difficult to make any further comment than I did earlier tbh

Personally I think he looked slow/soft because that was managed ti last until the 8th. His hand speed and power then sped up lol

The above backed up by Haye stating before during and after saying it was all about the 'engine'

Yeah, 11 weeks...

Still thought he looked pretty out of shape!

Clearly naturally pretty durable and probably would have seen the end without the thumb in the eye (if it was). He wasn't throwing much after the first couple but I think his lack of fitness was hurting him as much as Joyce was.

Was never going to win with that workrate, unless it was a KO. Wonder what might have happened with another month and 5-10kg less?

Possible? If it isn't staged Joyce will struggle with a real opponent.

Yes would have made a more interesting fight.

Another horrible mismatch but this Willie looks interesting biggrin

Still a teenager too! Wonder what his natural weight might be as I'm sure he's got some filling out to do.

Should have had Willie Vs. MVP!

Well, tonight turned from potentially interesting to fairly underwhelming.

Hutchinson looks mustard. Admittedly the oposition was not great but great shot variety from the Scott.
