totally agree pal.....i'd like to know how much he actually got paid for that fight at the weekend.....i can't believe it wasn't even in the main garden arena!!!!
down in the basement for those 2!!!... i was shocked to be honest
Just seen this...Gary Hyde reckons $400k, and I’d be willing to bet what actually ends up in Rigo’s pocket is a sizeable chunk less than that...

It's disgusting really. Outside of May and Canelo, boxing is dead in America. We've been treated to Ward v Kovalev twice and now Loma v Rigo, to dismal numbers. When this happen's what motivation do promoters and networks have to make the best fights?
he'll see less than half of that.and then have to pay the tax as well.he'll do well to see 120 grand.

boxing is indeed marginalized in america...you'll never see scenes like this ever again...

Hi all,

can anyone recommend a good speedball (with wall bracket) to put up on my garage wall?
There are plenty on the net, but not sure of their quality and sturdiness.

Any help appreciated.

Motivation to sort out problems they created themselves in the first place...

So Tyson Fury has basically got away with it and is now free to fight.

Yep, the homophobic ‘possible steroid taking’ self proclaimed people’s champion is all set to go.

As he had steroids in his system, shouldn:t his title win be removed from the reords?
He was in surprisingly great shape for that fight, considering he is usually fairly lardy in fights.

The doping authorities only have themselves to blame, god knows what has been going on with them to have let it drag on so long. I hope their is an official investigation into what went wrong here.

You can be sure any high profile fighters will be insisting on regular tests before agreeing a fight.

if i'm being totally honest mate, my headguard hardly ever comes out of my kit bag....because the intention is never war, but you know how it is...things escalate sometimes and in the heat of the moment you are hardly going to call a stop to hostilities so you can get your headguard on!

i'm 43 in a few weeks though, and i am starting to re think a few things....
That wise matey - you're not getting any younger. Lots of other ways to get the adrenaline rush ...

You could always do pad work for cardio etc ... Keeps you fit and you don't get hit®

Brook V Rabchenko could be interesting.

Rabchenko had a quiet spell under radar and seems to have fought a couple of journeymen recently after losing but Kell needs to win this and convincingly to be taken seriously coming off 2 straight losses.

GGG was an expected loss, we knew Spence was a tough ask specially coming back down in weight for it but a weigh class up against some who isn't really a world beater will be a real problem for selling future fights.

Just watched the Connor Benn fight, simply wow.
Agreed with result just not the scores.
Both put a lot of heart in.

121 on sky for current fights.

It's been great so far, and Josh kelly is coming up. He's been very exciting in previous fights so should be good.

Thanks, really looking forward to Billy's fight smile

Been looking just now at what Tyson has been up to hehe He released a rap over an Eminem song aimed at Eddie rofl and has also pissed off PETA wearing a Chinchilla Fur coat but otherwise is showing some sense. For all his 'I can fight AJ next even if fat' talk before, he is now saying he realises that in heavyweight boxing one punch can make all the difference, and that he needs several fights in 2018 with 2019 earliest to look at AJ.

Him and Frank Bruno are going to hold a fight night in aid of Depression charities apparently.

I understand his drug ban is up, but is getting his license back a formality ?

Money makes the rules in boxing, Fury has obviously had his run ins with the men at the board but they'd be massively cutting of their (flat) noses to spite their faces... Besides he could get a license form elsewhere.

A Fury/Joshua show end of 2019 could be the biggest boxing event the world has ever seen.

Bunce and Costellos podcast this week has a pretty harsh and realistic appraisal of DeGales performance and opinions on his future including some of the remarks echoed on here about how his career might be taking its toll on his cognitive functioning. Hope the worst case doesn't materialise for DeGale but suspect he'll rush back in April/May to try to grab the limelight and we may see a sad ending.

He also missed a drugs test.

I find the timing of his depression quite convenient.
A lot of talk about his depression and not a lot about the failed and missed drugs tests.

His depression dodn’t seem to stop him going to France in 2016 to join the fans supporting England in the football.

Odd that.

Dear god, how awful was Hammer? Makes it hard to say how good or otherwise Povetkin was. I know he can only beat what's put in front of him but there was nothing coming back.

Aside from the klitschko loss he hasn't really put a foot wrong in the ring......

Hammer was terrible regardless of the fact Povetkin made him go into a shell it was a title eliminator and he showed zero desire or ambition embarrising to think he had a top ten ranking(off the back of beating Price ) he looked plain and simply like an out of shape journeyman.A lot of these heavyweights these days they may be bigger physically but in my eyes they are certainly no better than heavyweights of bygone eras
