Just watched the BJS fight. He's definitely gone up in my estimation.

Dominic Ingle appears to have transformed BJS as that was a sensational performance from him. A match up between him and either Canelo or GGG looks a more enticing prospect than I would previously have thought.

On the undercard I was really pleased for Spike O'Sullivan, that's a great win for him and Ulysse looks a great prospect for the future.

For anyone that didn't see it live, it's on YouTube;

I really like Saunders, nice to see him put on a convincing performance after a couple of awful ones.

He's ace to watch when he's on form, must frustrate the fk out of his opponents when they literally can't land anything on him.

Lemieuxs interview afterwards was poor, came across as a bad loser, mentioning his hand, and that Saunders was running. That's bks, Saunders did everything spot on.

Just admit when you have been beaten fair and square on the night, nobhead!

That bjs fight last night reminded me of the style of Calzaghe in the Eubank fight

Very rare to see a proper world level bout be so one sided, absolute master class from bjs. His jab is possibly the best in boxing at the moment, frightening to see how easily it pierced Lemiux's guard and how unable Lemiux was to do anything about it.

And not only did bjs look comfortable for all 12 rounds he also looked massive at the weight compared to Lemiux, I'd never realises how big he is, i don't know about GGG but if he can box like that against Canelo id back him to win quite easily.

I have to say, Saunders did way better than I ever expected he could. Ingle has certainly improved his game as he has never looked that good. He fought a punch perfect fight! Loved his slips, controlling of the distance, the crisp jabs and his subtle slips, ducks & turns when Lemieux managed to corner him. I enjoyed every minute of it.

Along with Ingle, Frank Warren deserves credit too, he talked Billy out of quitting last year, and even in the ring today, the way he protectively stepped in and saw off Lemieux when Billy was being introduced was great to see. Earning his money.

Really hoping GGG v Canelo doesn't happen next, as would rather see Billy fight GGG. He needs a quality opponent to motivate him, and you don't want a Canelo-GGG trilogy delaying his opportunity, or for GGG to retire after winning a rematch

Belts not money seem to be GGG's motivation so fingers crossed.

I think BJS should deal with him handily. Someone on social media categorised him best, a C+ level circus strongman. He's got a punch but is too limited at the top level.
Because I don't get to gloat often smile. The C+ level circus strongman was out of ideas after 2 rounds and couldn't make any adjustments on the fly to deal with BJS. RJJ mentioned it a lot throughout the fight, his inability to effectively cut off the ring made this a glorified spar for Bill. I hope he stays active, motivated and in shape.

Fantastic from BJS - when he really wants it he's such a smooth operator - I said he'd need to be on his A game as one punch form Lemeiux is lights out, and he wen't beyond that.

I Think he does cause a bit of trouble for Canelo - he's a bit flat footed at time and doesn't like boxing against fighters who are too defensive - but ultimately he's got dynamite in his hands plus A+ boxing ability - GGG is too much, too good at cutting off the ring. Running from GGG for 12 rounds look exhausting.

No shame in being 3rd best in that division at all though!

I think Daniel Jacobs might have something to say about that.

Personally i think that's where BJS might end up, New York next spring vs Jacobs. Autumn should see the winner of that vs the GGG Alvarez rematch... Dream on..

Alvarez will always be up for whatever his team suggest, he'll always draw huge PPP figures as his fanbase is there, Jacobs lesser so, BJS third and the reality is that GGG could be the one who decides that BJS just isn't worth the risk, unless he's prepared to come to the UK to fight, GGG knows he'll never have the huge support of a Mexican, he can't afford to lose at this point in his career, one loss for GGG and he'll be straight back into the "who needs him" chair.

Jacobs signed a multi-fight deal with HBO & Matchroom only a few months ago.

Do these contracts have clauses with penalties for getting schooled? As otherwise his partners may get a bit nervous and want to wait till they have got a few easier fights from him and made some profit.

Good news! Also tyson split with Peter which I had heard was on the cards but seems a strange decision as he appears to be family orientated and had a lot of success with him.

Read that the other day, very strange, fighters tend to move when they lose. Perhaps Peter didn't support enough during his issues, who knows.

Tried to read up on Ben Davison but other than having worked with Billy a bit, couldn't find much on him, and he appears to be quite young too. Anyone know his background, is he an ex fighter?

Very surprised he has gone for someone like that, appreciate they have clicked, but why not Ingle? And how does Hatton now fit in.

Tyson is a very dominant character, and I think someone with a respected list of achievements would have been better for him to look up to and listen to rather than someone matey, in sparring vids he seems to be messing around an awful lot.

I read an article on him the other day- he wants to become a PPV star, as big as Mayweather, and there are not enough big names at 140lb so will be moving up and down weights.

Could just be avoiding Lomachenko?

As its coming to the end of the year anyone want to try to single out their Boxing highlight of 2017? For me it has to be Joshua vs Vlad, not just for the result or the event of it but aside that is was an incredibly exciting fight to watch.
