golovkin's come forward aggression is not the same as eubank's crude come forward milling for me. ggg shifts and closes down the ring intelligently and prizes you open like a clam before caving you rib cage (or skull) in.....as much as i admire chris jr's heart and fighting spirit to stick him in with any version of golovkin.... prime or past prime is crazy....sr did absolutely the right thing not signing that contract you know.
Yeah, Golovkin actually has some very nice footwork and cutting down skills - can force himself inside when he wants, can hammer you on the outside, has a rock hard jab that he can sit behind if needed. Eubank would quit/be out of there before 10. Warriors code or not, a sustained beating from a fighter with heavy hands is not a fun place to be.Yiliterate said:
....I have a hunch Braehmer could present an awkward night for Smith next week. Smith looks like he has the tools but he's still inexperienced at this level (his QF performance showed one or two shortcomings), while Braehmer is a canny, canny operator who is also used to mixing it with Light-Heavies. Add home advantage as well and I feel this is far from a foregone conclusion...
Or maybe not...!!!!!https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/boxing/callu...
I'd love to see Chudinov step in, as a real marker for where Callum Smith is. Fantasy land would be for Caleb Truax to step in a late notice but as he's holding a belt I doubt he could be tempted by amy amount of cash... James de Gale? Nah...
This is why the super six dragged on for so long, its a very difficult proposition getting these things to all line up.
Eubank shouldn't and won't do it.

Can you ask for a refund after a change of fighter?
Depends on terms and conditions I guess, would expect not from a legal point of view, as you would expect some clause in there about this to protect promoters profits.FredClogs said:

problem is it's not the good chudinov in reserve.......dmitri chudinov (who got blasted out by eubank) was to fight nieky holzken on the undercard next weekend....it's between these two who get to fight smith. the good chudinov (fedor- the hard as nails guy who lost to groves) isn't in the running. This is why the super six dragged on for so long, its a very difficult proposition getting these things to all line up.

fedor would be the best guy to have as a replacement , not dmitri.......

Let's hope we get a fully fit Groves for the final with Callum.

This gives a decent insight into the fight and some reminders of just how tough the sport is.

i didn't think smith/ brahemer was a ppv??...thought it was free to air?
Not certain, but I do recall seeing an advert to buy the stream of Groves vs Eubank for £16 or Groves/Eubank and Smith/Braehmer as a package for £20, so I'd have assumed it was PPV.Just a thought...should Groves be ruled out for the final, I wonder if they'd let Braehmer back in as the substitute?
