Pacquiao looked good but let's be fair, Matthysse looked terrible. Pacquiao can hang with the top level guys and possibly pick up a few wins along the way but Matthysse is done on that stage. He hasn't looked the same since his war with Garcia and being completely honest, neither has Danny Garcia. They both took a lot out of one another.
Crawford would have a field day with this version of Pacquiao. He wouldn't be able to let his hands go in the same way as he did Saturday night because he'd be concerned about what's coming back at him. To my mind, Crawford looks vulnerable at the beginning of his fights but once he settles in he looks fantastic. He has excellent lateral movement and counter punch selection.
A prime Pacquiao would beat Crawford and quite convincingly. I think Lomachenko is a tough one to call given the difference in weight class and the fact that Pacquiao looked his best at 140 and higher which is a weight that Loma hasn't been near. It would be a technical affair but if Pacquiao caught Lomachenko being sloppy the same way as Linares did, it would probably be lights out.
As for Joshua vs Povetkin, I like that fight. Povetkin is way past his prime and is almost tailor made for Joshua. The only one question is if he can land his power and how will Joshua react? I predict he'll get softened up with a jab for a few rounds before being stopped. Joshua is a much more cautious fighter since his fight with Klitschko and that's precisely how he should approach this fight, with caution.

joshua has a bat phone with a direct line to wlad. he has being getting the inside track off him apparently....and you know that advice is going to be ramrod jab him for half a dozen rounds keeping control of the distance then lower the boom when he is sufficiently softened up.
so same advice he'd give for every opponentandburg said:

so same advice he'd give for every opponentbut whatever the advice and whatever your opinion of his style ( i am assuming there was a little dig at klitschko in there ) you can't argue with the numbers...
longest overall reign as heavyweight champ at 12 years
most opponents beaten in title bouts at 23
2nd most title bout wins at 25 (joe louis 26)
even if you DID consider him a one trick pony...you've got to admit...it's a fking good trick

in these days of bigger and bigger, less mobile heavyweights its going to work even better!

Regarding Manny, it would be marvellous if he would just call it quits now and go out on a high. Sadly, by the sounds of it, with what he still owes the taxman, he’ll be carrying on. Personally, I really hope he doesn’t end up taking a battering at the hands of the likes Crawford or Spence chasing the payday...maybe Broner would be a better option in that regard? Big name but always the chance he won’t have done the work in camp...
Just looked that up, blimey, seems to have a lot of issues with the IRS. Khan would be a huge fight in the UK still, Wembley. Stadium level. But Manny seems to only want to fight in low tax countries which would be an obstacle.

he's taking it hard in the phillipines too...he must feel like they have got him surrounded!Khan would be a huge fight in the UK still, Wembley. Stadium level. But Manny seems to only want to fight in low tax countries which would be an obstacle.
I was watching that DAZN press conference for Joshua vs Povetkin last night. Then in comes Miller 'pretending' to try and get in Joshua's face but gets held off by Eddie Hearn of all people.
It couldn't have looked anymore scripted. So I guess after Povetkin we're going to get Joshua vs Miller.

Or a pretend Joshua vs Miller in a silly attempt to get Wilder to sign the contract before Miller can.It couldn't have looked anymore scripted. So I guess after Povetkin we're going to get Joshua vs Miller.
It seems Povetkin is being completely overlooked here. The second fight at Wembley could be a rematch for all we know, with AJ attempting to win his titles back! Far too many ifs to be thinking about who AJ will fight after Povetkin.
This is why I don't like multi-fight deals being announced. It presumes that the fighter will remain unbeaten.
For the record, I think AJ will knock Povetkin out after 4-5 rounds, BUT it is definitely one of AJ's toughest fights.

Pathetic wasn't it. Joshua didn't even put his belts down.
Any serious threat and the first thing you'd do is free your hands up to defend yourself/unload on the guy.
Not necessarily so...David Haye admitted he would hot-dog someone if the circumstances dictated...Any serious threat and the first thing you'd do is free your hands up to defend yourself/unload on the guy.

http://boxrec.com/en/event/771057 The bill next weekend is looking quite good. I think Parker vs Whyte is one of the more interesting fights at the moment and Chisora is on the undercard along with Benn who is always a good watch.
