That shot of him shaking his head at the corner as he's s down on his knee was the crowning of the new king. Hope that's it for Groves now.
Yes, I thought that as well. The blow to the body and the way he sunk down you just knew it was over. He looked very beaten tonight, felt like it was the end for Groves tonight. Morning gentlemen!....
Well itv fked up good and proper again...couldn't book it through sky remote and for the second fight in a row I've been totally fked about on the itv box office website so it was a jerky YouTube watch for me...
Wow!!!!
As you all know I'd picked smith from the very start but watching him have a hard night against skoglund and watching groves appear blistering wiping out the likes of Eubank I was starting to waver....was groves going to old man him with his sublime distance control and jab or would smith blaze through him...I was a bit on the fence for a while there...
Early on I noticed George's jab was great as usual but as early as the second round smith was starting to time it well and drop right crosses over it ......and they were starting to land..smith has an underrated jab himself and I noticed him adding in more landing jabs and lead hooks through the rounds. That finish that was set in motion by an absolutely vicious left hook to the temple was something the rest of the division should be terrified of.....

That was a cracking fight - Smith looks very handy.

i can see fury boxing his head off for half the fight on the back foot......then getting putting to sleep with some new born giraffe style right hand that he didn't expect
I can see that as a scenario.Although wilder tends to only open up once someone looks hurt.
Will be interesting to see if Fury can take a hit or two.
Might also be interesting to see how Wilder deals with a long stiff jab as I don't think he's had to deal with that before. I'd also say Fury likelyou to better pace the fight if it goes to the later rounds which would make the end interesting.

It all depends what Fury turns up and how Wilder reacts. We've seen Wilder get outboxed by guys like Ortiz, Washington and Szpilka and none of them, with the exception of Ortiz, are what I'd describe as great boxers. The issue is that once he lands that equaliser, the fight is over.Assuming the best possible Fury turns up, I'm torn between two scenarios. The first being that the herky jerky movement will make Wilder second guess himself slowing the pace of the fight and forcing Wilder to box which would massively favour Fury and likely result in Fury outpointing him. The second scenario is that Wilder has no respect for Fury, tags him with a looping right hand and then unloads on Fury and stops him.
It's a very intriguing fight and for once, I'm rooting for Fury!

Yep, completely agree. 36 minutes is a long time against a fighter who carries power late into the fight and has great stamina
He managed to avoid Klitschko but did get tagged occasionally with little to no effect but Klitschko wasn't catching him clean with the shots he did land.
It's very intriguing and not a fight I'd like to put money on. I can see either guy winning and making it look easy if I'm honest.
