So there we have it, not sure how I feel about it to be honest, it will certainly be a different approach to the one Lancaster took.

He's already come out saying he will follow the same restrictions on foreign players as Lancaster did (suppose this is dictated from above his level anyway) which I think is a real pity, IMO Rugby is an international game with talent playing regularly all over the world, why restrict your selection because of that?
If he can get England playing with the same passion the Japanese showed then it can only be a good thing, and he seems more dynamic and emotive as a person than Lancasters slightly robotic demeanor, which can also be a good (and sometimes bad) thing.
He had some dire times with Australia, and often looked out of ideas when times were hard, also no idea how much of an influence he was during his time with South Africa. Lets see how he gels with the current management structure too, as he was pretty fed up with all the politics involved in Japanese rugby, just wait till he has to deal with it in England rugby!!
