Usually reliable sources indicate that there'll be no further play tonight so we've won thanks to a couple of statistics nerds. That and some great batting.

Makes a change for the "think of a number, multiply it by 4, divide by 6, add another number between 1-99, multiply by 3.764 and then divide by 3 cabbages" method actually worked in our favour.

Yep will definitely take that as a result, England so much better with no Cook as captain.

Buttler, just fantastic again today. Nice to see England developing with no Broad or Anderson in attack, makes me think we have a future without those two world class bowlers.

All round decent effort. Hales looks a different player again.

2-0.

Buttler finished them off with 3 consecutive 6's in his 48 from 28 balls.

Hales out for 99.frown

And Chris Morris beat them both with a bid just short of a million dollars he didnt even play today. While Kane Williamson went unsold. Cricinfo have who was sold and for what , some make little sense but then ipl doesn't have much to do with cricket.

Well, we've got a good platform.

Root and Hales have 50 each, 130/1 from 22 overs.

And so the question as to 'who ate all the pies' can now be answered.

Angus Fraser.

He's making Rob Key look lithe.
