A satisfactory finish after a poor start, but there's still a lot of work to do. I think we'll need a lot of scoreboard pressure to help us to a win.

An even better day this morning. Woke up early to watch the first session and it has been great viewing.

Nice to drive into work catching a good hour of TMS.

Good stat from Andrew - first time we've scored three centuries in the subcontinent since 1961. By the sounds of it though some have given their wicket away quite cheaply, however hard to be disappointed with 500 odd mind.

Good pitch.

Good cricket.

Really annoying kids in the crowd with their endlessly repetitive "Indi-aaaaah, Indi-A" droning....

What? Enthusiastic local kids watching a test match and you're complaining. Jeez.

India to pile on 700 and us to capitulate to 150 all out on the evening of the 5th day.

I know the game you are up to HR,
fully expect a 50 ish run lead and us to be bowling after lunch on day five defending a lead of 200

This track is too flat. I've not checked the odds, but a draw must be the only likely result.

The early signs are good for sure.

Shame about the wicket.

Hales has got the potential to be a very decent middle order batsmen. I think they went with him as opener only because he was the "least bad" option. He'd also be a great player to have on tour given he could potentially play up top or further down the order.

Any road massively impressive performance from the new boy today. Every now and again these players come along who just make it look like they were born for it. Cook, Strauss, Root, Thorpe all looked like that.

A good old fashioned test match. At least our opener and spinner woes could well be over.
