73 gross today and for reference, 31 putts. 14 front nine and 17 back nine.
Should sneak me down to 4.4.
NOW it gets difficult wink

I played at Conwy GC last weekend for the 1st time. What a top top quality course it is, proper links where your nearly on the beach on a few greens and tees! It was blowing up to 40mph so I was pretty damn happy shooting 76 off the whites for a first time round smile Standard scratch off the whites is +2 and off the blues its +4 eek

My folkes have bought a caravan on the site right next to it and my dads joined so i'll be playing it a lot this summer biggrin I highly reccomend playing it if you're up that way.

AberConwy? My folks are looking there too! Glad to hear the course is nice - it certainly looks good from afar.

Not too far from there to Nefyn either - one of my very favourite courses.

I've got good memories of Conwy, played there about 10 years ago on Captain's weekend away - hit my longest ever drive on one of the Par 5's on the back 9 - albeit downhill/downwind, and there was no grass on the fairways due to the summer they'd had, but managed to hit it 360 off the tee, leaving a 9 iron left.

Prestatyn down the road is also a nice course, and then there's Nefyn.

Yes Aberconwy, it's a really nice place and the gym, pool, spa etc is great to have too. As is the bar biggrin I highly recommend it to your folkes.

I'm back there playing next weekend and really looking forward to it. I've not played Nefyn yet but walked through it last weekend with the missus to grab a beer at Ty Coch Inn and the course looks really nice!

Nefyn's a weird course. I loved it, but it's weird. Some really really oddball holes. Some holes so blind that on your first round you're either playing a series of wedges and playing for a 6-7, or completely trusting to luck, not knowing if you'll be 100 yards short, 100 yards long, 100 yards left or 100 yards right. Mad.

The views are amazing though, and the pub's great.

Yes including flights!

£657 for the 5 rounds and the 5Star all inclusive hotel. That is amazing value when you consider that a round on the Carya is £100, so that works out at about £30 a night to eat, drink, party and sleep in luxury.

Flights were about £200 with easyjet.

2 years ago when we went Cosmopolitan turned up to have a works party there whilst we were there. I will never forget the professional DJ's on stage surrounded by stunning women.

i do have a few pictures, i'll try and upload them

to me it is the best value and couldn't be beaten if we stayed in the UK. The courses out there are stunning!

They were just commentating about Sergio having had the most birdies at the 17th at Sawgrass prior to him teeing up. . . .

Normally expect a commentator's curse, not this time though! biggrin

When we booked 2 years ago we booked the hotel ourselves and then the courses through an agent in Turkey, it was a great hotel and not used by any UK agents, i think this was why COSMO were there!

This year we have used www.golf-escapes.com, been great to deal with and fingers crossed it all goes well.

absolutely....i will report back

8 of us going and currently arguing on whatsapp about the format and dodgy draw!

1 person dropped out and we have only just found a replacement, the thought did cross my mind of offering the spot to PH!
