Just watched the second half again, which was a lot easier knowing how it would end.

The consistent intensity was very much like watching two SH sides. And England's try could have been run in by the ABs or the Wallabies.

Exciting times for NH rugby.

A few questions

Why did howley sub Moriarty? Was it pre planned that Toby came on for the last 1/4? Seems madness given he was smashing everything in sight.

Why did Rhys Webb get subbed? He was directing he team so well - especialllt given the boozy brawl his replacement had with 2 bouncers earlier this week brawling in the streets.

The TV coverage was ruined by the bias commentary.
Agreed bloody awful. Personally I find Eddie Butler dreadful as a commentator and I am sure the BBC inflicted Jonathan Davies on us out of spite because they've lost the England home matches to ITV laugh

You're joking aren't you? Davies was more neutral than he has ever been! Did you even watch the game?

I thought this was striking too: he's unbearable usually (for an England fan) but this time he seemed very balanced.

But was he neutral?

Too much noise to hear any commentary where I was. Best way.

Earlier this afternoon our team won it's third match of the season with a 22 : 17 win to put us one point below 4th spot and non-relegation, so for me it's been a magic day. I've lost my voice.

Thank you Mr Cuthbert, for your non existent tackling...

I think someone on here was a bit dismayed by his selection?

I didn't say he was neutral, I said he was more neutral.

Wow! Now that was entertainment and a half. Fantastic. I though Wales were going to edge it. They played some of the best rugby I've seen from them. Perhaps against ABs they played better.

I feel exhausted. Committed rugby from both.

If England can win against a side like Wales playing so well then they deserve the 16 wins.

What a showcase for rugby.

Great final try.

In case I haven't said what I meant: a good game of rugby.
My thoughts exactly Derek. I'm having a stiff drink right now just to come down.

Fabulous showcae for the game.
Agree, brilliant game of rugby, felt for Wales, but England took their chances and one loose kick was the difference.

Anyone got a clip of Williams' turnover at the end?

Gave that away through a combination of inexplicably timed substitutions, terrible depth on the bench and a series of brainfarts.

Quite surprised Haskell didn't have a 10min rest though...

Still, good game of rugby.

Do you always offer insults when asked a simple question?

Close but never in doubt!!! Well maybe

A win in Cardiff missing most of the starting pack, may be a while before Wales beat us again!

Have also just watched again. I don't think there's been enough praise for that try at the end.

In the decade after the World Cup win, 99% of the time, England would have fluffed that, or not even attempted it. The execution was outstanding and is going to depress a lot of teams, maybe.

No I'm not joking I thought Eddie Butler was dreadful and Davies simply sounded like an excited fan, added nothing of any content to the program. Yes I did watch the game rather than listen on the radio.

You mean Jonathan Davies and Brian Moore they were the commentators today.

Yup. England put that away superbly....kind of try you'd only ever see NZ or Aus score. Daly has got some serious pace.

Great game, I don't think England would have won that twelve months ago but they now have such self belief. As it was for France England's bench was the difference....just makes such a difference having genuine impact players on the bench.

I noticed that Lawes was playing at blindside at scrum time...I guess Jones rates his tackling and maybe he's quicker than Itoje?

Great game of rugby, one loose kick being all the difference really. Heroic defense by both teams and good attacking rugby all round.

England's bench is mighty but surely given how impressive George, Te'o and Haskell were when they came on they have to at least start the next game against Italy. Got nothing but admiration for Jones, he's taken the England Team from a bunch of nearly men onto a real force to be reckoned with again. A shame we don't have a fixture against the All Blacks anytime soon as I think it'd be pretty close for a change.

Looking forwards to Scotland vs. France today, I wonder if Scotland will be able to cope with the French heavies.
