Lots of excitement here (Ireland) about playing the All Blacks. I seem to be the only one fearing a pasting to be honest (15 points +).

Hartley makes the bench then.

Good to see Jones mixing it up for this game. Being on the wing and often on from the bench we don't normally get to see much of what Nowell can do, should be enjoyable.

Last couple of internationals haven't inspired a lot of confidence. Argentina, last week, was very scrappy.
Line outs are a disaster when Rory Best takes them, looks like they've thrown devon toner in to give him a big target to aim for.

Funny how we all see things differently. Yes Best has been poor in past games but is a top scrummager . Last week I thought he was a lot better and the line was poor.

Anyways let's hope we get it right and win this historic game.

What a match at Kingsholm! The final try (Thorney) is probably going to be try of the season!

Quins vs Falcons was in no way a classic, but the four points are very welcome. smile

Toby Flood deserves a medal of some sort! I've never seen such an obviously broken player continue to put in anything like the effort he did in the last 15 minutes or so!

If he hasn't got a couple of broken ribs at the very least, I'd be amazed! Really, really struggling, but with the bench all used up, he didn't half keep giving!

I had the Quins/Falcons game on the radio last night.
Shouldn't have bothered, Falcons didn't turn up.
They haven't said anything about Flood's condition after the game, good to hear about his commitment, though.
Sounded like a big cheer when Joe Marler came on.
Hopefully Deano will give them the hair drier treatment this week and Bath get a good hiding on Friday night.
Dunno if it was partisanship, but the commentators on Radio Newcastle were very critical of the referee, JP Doyle.

it's interesting, you can listen to 2 different local radio commentaries on the same game, and yet it seems as if they are watching a different game!

More heavy TMO involvement in the Wales Tonga game. I'm not sure it's doing the game many favours at the moment.

There certainly was a huge cheer when Joe came on. It meant your tight head couldn't get away with pulling the scrum down and mugging Doyle into thinking it was our fault any more!!!

Am I alone in thinking that the wrong man got the yellow card? Tongan 4 was nowhere near the maul collapse.

Cokanasiga looks good.

The rest, not sure yet.

Japan's passing is brilliant.

It might not have been a ruck, but if the ball leaves the "tackle area" the tackle is over. You could argue that's the case in that photo. You'd need to see the whole thing moving rather than a photo. I don't have much of an issue with the decision though, a tricky call.
You need a full arm binding to be part of the ruck, therefore the AB with the ball at his feet is not part of the ruck anyway, the offside line moves up to him.
The ball was actually on the grass behind this players heels before Perenara picked it up. So the ball was already 'out', the offside line disappears, Lawes is able to advance.

Very tight, but for me, not offside, a memorable try by Underhill never to be

I don't think it's a ruck, just a tackle (as there's no opposition on their feet in contact). Don't think there's a need for a full arm bind in this scenario. And this is also international rugby, so interpretation is enitrely different anyway!

Enjoying the rugby today, Scotland game also a good one.

Big wins for both Quins and Bath this weekend, and another pair of important fixtures against Worcester and Newcastle next weekend. Almost forgotten matches, but important for the season.

Well done Ireland. Furlong is a beast isn't he? Must be best 3 in the world at the moment.

Cracking game. Stockdale try was very well worked.

Must say, this week and last NZ look a shadow of their former selves. World cup opportunity knocks.

Great game in Cardiff today also. Ok the opposition wasn't all that but plenty of positives for Wales and selection headaches everywhere.

Could really go with any of the three tens but my pick would be Biggar with Patchell on the bench, 1/2p 15, Liam at 14.
