It's a frustrating day for rugby today... Bill Beaumont won the election, so that's another 4 years of the second tier Nations being fked over. frown

Anyone listened to the Burgess interview on the House of Rugby podcast? Absolutely fascinating to hear his frank take on 2015. Two sides to every story, as ever, but it’s worth a listen.

Indeed Ford Sr is a tt, Ford Jr is a sulky tt

I though Haskell’s reaction was telling. He’s clearly not a fan of Ford, although he stopped short of saying that directly.

I thought it was quite fascinating. Felt at the time that Burgess was an unfortunate pawn in a battle between the RFU and Bath and this interview very much reaffirms that.

Premiership rugby is aiming for a 15th August restart, good to have some clarity.

Not entirely sure why they aren't solely focused on next season really. Could end up screwing two seasons.

I think it's quite widely known that Mike Ford is a duplicitous snake-oil salesman. Never quite understood the strong reputation he's gathered and some of the jobs he's been given.

Super Rugby Aotearoa starts this weekend, and I'm looking forward to having rugby union back on the screen.

I've decided that The Highlanders will be my team - purely based on the fact that they play in the colours of my club. On paper, the thinnest squad (I believe they receive the lowest funding from NZRU).

Thought this might amuse...

The Original: Bollywood made a rugby movie and it's INCREDIBLE.

Going to be a few headaches down in otago tomorrow morning! Good to see rugby back (and offsides being clamped down also).

I see some Wokemon have got up a petition to get Exeter to change their 'racist' logo.

I guess they want to ban head-dresses in the crowd too? I suppose Saracens fans wearing Fezs will be deemed unacceptable too?

I am too old for this woke world...

I've been feeling like that since I was a student.

That was at Exeter though so I'm probably a racist.

Perhaps they could make it an African chief. Would that be OK?

where is Manu T off to next? Some joker had him going to Bristol (imagine a mid-field of him and Semi R eek ) luckily for the rest of the clubs I can't see this happening with the salary cap but where?

Supposedly might still be Leicester. Hopefully not France.

Didn't Manu turn down several million Euros to go to France and re-sign for Leicester because he felt loyal to them?

I hope he stays in the Premiership, and continues to be eligible for England. I wouldn't want his last act in an England shirt to be a red card for clattering George North.
