I'd say it was a very different atmosphere to an international, and probably better to take kids along to. The stadiums are rarely full, and the Mexican waves have usually started after about 25-30min.
Never been to a Ba-Bas game.

Been to Army vs Navy once.

Never again.

DO NOT take kids!!

Different kettle of fish for sure.

One is a lovely family day out. One is a day out for squaddies to compete in drinking as much as possible in 80min.

I went to the Army vs Navy once with my sister.

She, at the time, was a Captain in the Royal Artillery. I was a TA squaddie on the weekends.

We met lots of her very nice polite officer acquaintances. The first guy we met that I knew was on his hands and knees in front of the Cabbage Patch trying to suck his spilt pint off the pavement! hehe

Er, ahem, the Army-Navy game is the other officially attended match for us! Another day of fantastic atmosphere 😎.
Hmm, there are two different tales there. When we first starting attending the Army-Navy games about 20yrs ago - they were dead. The stadium was barely a third full, the navy could barely play for toffee and the army only turned up to shag any birds about. These days you don’t get a ticket unless you get them bought in the first week or so after release.
The barbarians game is for family. High profile attacking and great fun. Watching the Honey Badger ripping into his normal team mates from the opposite side was definitely worth the ticket price alone for that antique Australian game you mentioned.

Is the Autumn Nations Cup available to show on a commercial basis ? ie in the pub. Can’t find anyone who knows the answer.

Lifted from the World Rugby website:

WHERE WILL IT BE SHOWN ON TELEVISION?
Amazon Prime is the main broadcaster of this competition, with fans able to stream every match online.

Some matches will be available to watch on terrestrial television. Channel 4 (and RTE in Ireland) will show Ireland’s fixtures as well, including the tournament’s opening nail-biting clash between Wales and Ireland. Channel 4 will also show highlights from all rounds.

Every Wales match in the Autumn Nations Cup will also be shown on S4C, a Welsh language channel.

Never a huge rubgy fan but class is class. I remember Wales seem to win everything back in the 70s I see JJ was part of the club team that beat the All Blacks

RIP JJ.

I was fortunate to have been given my formative rugby coaching by members of those immortal Welsh back lines. JJ was often talked about as being the quickest bugger ever to have walked a rugby field.

A proper legend of the game.

Daily Mail article, but further talks of Sarries going straight back into the Premiership and Ealing going too as it doesn't look like the Championship will be going ahead anytime soon

Followed by ring-fencing for the prem.

2 prem mini-leagues with the top 4 in each half for the semis and finals

Barbarians game maybe off as some of them left the hotel last night.

Idiots. Name and shame, no excuse.
They were named by a BBC journalist earlier. Robshaw among them.

Shame really, but Barbarians matches are typically 60-70min of stodge in front of a half-empty stadium these days anyway.
Robshaw's been down to East Grinstead RFC to try and make amends there, because they were going to have a minute's silence for Matt Ratana at the Barbarian's game.
