40 caps and 5 for the Lions is not a bad haul but ultimately I think he didn't fulfill potential due to injury.

Excellent player and a decent bloke.

Blimey! Gatland looks to be gambling a bit on his selection against Georgia tomorrow! A starting tight 5 with only 29 caps between them up against the Georgian beasts???

Sod that, he's bloody selected Cuthbert again, we have younger wingers who should be given a shot, not him.

Yes I dislike his selection of Cuthbert.

And a rookie 2nd row at 8... and a guy who's only played one game of professional rugby on the bench... and Cuthbert. Not to mention the continued, mystifying omission of Charteris and Thomas Young from the squad.

I think he's got bored and is seeing just how much he can take the piss before people twig!

That's a fair point. I hadn't noticed Cuthbert. Maybe Gatland could put him in the pack to add some experience? It's not like he's going to be doing much on the wing...

I'd be quite happy have May seconded to pass on his scrummaging knowledge to Cuthbert.

Gloc v Sar what a game! After suffering all that pressure in the first half two cracking tries from Gloucester to take the lead...

Cant work out whether Gatland has finally realised he needs to blood new players or whether its a cynical ploy to put out new/second string players as an excuse for a potential loss against an up and coming Georgian team.
His flipflopping on selection and now on the lions job is annoying and I feel he is just hanging out in the welsh job hoping for an opportunity in NZ cant see him getting anywhere near the ABS job though.

Regarding England they need to have shed last weeks rustiness and step up, if they do that they will get a result of that Im pretty certain. Although I love watching Folau the fact hes not there will really help England's chances.

I'd normally support Wales against anyone except England, but right now I think Georgia have been given so few chances by the established nations that I am now supporting them against anyone else, and I'd even include England in that, outside of a World Cup!

Heaven only knows how England can play like that and not only fail to lose but actually come away with their biggest ever victory against the Aussies!

I really felt for Georgia being deprived of a possible draw by Welsh cheating at the end there. frown no fit props, my arse! I reckon they should've been made to bring Francis back on at the expense of another player.

Not the most impressive decision by a coach. in an international.

The Welsh were remarkably poor though. No inspiration. Georgia played well I thought, especially in the second half.

An unexciting match for an international.

I was at the game in 07 world cup when they lost in the last minute to the Irish. I thought that would be the beginning of something for them but it's a reall shame that the game hasn't appeared to help them develop.

Anyone see England Ladies last week or going tonight/Friday.

I'm off tonight, never seen a ladies game so looking forward to seeing them play and the standard they play at!

Why are they called Ladies?

Why aren't they referred to as women?

The men aren't called gentlemen!

In a similar vein, why do blokes at Wimbledon get "Advantage Smith", whilst the women get "Advantage Miss Jones"?

Most serious reports do refer to them as Women, or to the "women's Rugby World Cup"

edit: was referring to cricket for some reason.

Nothing to prove, so Eddie taking an opportunity to try other options in a game which England should win comfortably?
