My planner is showing that as a cup game at 12:30, Quinn’s v Montpellier I think, I’ll look again.

Very sad to see Tom Youngs retire in the circumstances facing him at the moment.

I’m sure he would have liked to have known it was his last game when he played last.

Sometimes there are far more important things than chucking a ball around. I know the family, and they are a lovely bunch going through a really hard time.

They are great people. I went to school with them, I know Ben better than Tom as I was the year below him. Tom’s wife’s family farm are my neighbours so I see them around sometimes.

Haven’t bumped into them in a few years now though.

Well done England for beating France today and winning the six nations. It was an enjoyable game to watch.

That was a drubbing you got today. Look on the bright side, things can only get better

Yep, proper thrashing. You're right - really can't get much worse! Tragic really with some of the talent we have - Underhill, Cokanasiga, Faletau etc.

.
Players looked properly heartbroken at the end too....

(really really fked off with this - when you fk up monumentally at work you don't have a laugh in front of everyone in the immediate aftermath)

Regarding the players listed - how good is Cokanaisiga really? He had potential, the physical attributes, but if you offered me him or Muir i'd take Muir any day of the week. .Underhill played ok - tried too hard at times. Faletau - dunno why he was kept instead of Mercer.

I looked at your team sheet and on paper it looked pretty good. However something is very wrong if that many talented players can get so comprehensively beaten.

I've just watched the highlights of the bath game. There seems to be a basic lack of organisation and also a lack of willingness to put any effort into their defence.

Faletau, brilliant player but injuries/internationals have reduced his impact at Bath and off at the end of this season

Cokanasiga, injury situation has been even worse

No idea why Mercer was allowed to leave, The Eddie Jones effect (apprentices, what was that all about??) didn't help. I watched a few bit of the podcasts the has done recently, not all of them admittedly but when asked about Premiership options I don't think he ever mentioned a Bath return

Cipriani, I get he is a huge talent but just wasteful! I didn't see what he could bring unless there was some long term coaching role plan, that hasn't happened so either it was a waste of time signing an unreliable player of his age or the long term plan has failed (which is just as likely to be the current management set up's fault as his)

Watson situation is quiet, think he may be off frown

He's a really quite ordinary flat-track bully. His try-scoring rate for Bath is embarrassingly poor, and his England successes have generally been against the likes of Italy and Tier 2 nations.

He's basically a slightly exotic Matt Banahan.

I'm surprised he hasn't disappeared to Japan for some easy money yet. He's not durable enough for France, which is a shame because he's the right shape for a ProD2 club to throw cash at.
