Annoyingly he's not in the Sarries squad either.

Cracking win by Scotland (Never thought I would say that, for more than one reason!)

Good win by England

Ireland beat Argentina

Couldn't see Wales beating New Zealand - and they didn't.

Happy with the chiefs result, though it was a good game too.

I honestly wasn't expecting Scotland to have put on the best rugby show of the autumn, but they did!

While more than happy with the result on Saturday at Murray field I was equally impressed with the result in
Swansea on Sunday!

Think Glasgow had fourteen players in Edinburgh for Australia game and sent “the kids” down to Wales for
The PRO14 game. Five players making their debut I think it was

In lower division news, I've been persuaded to turn out for Marlow Vets vs Henley on Saturday, having not played full contact for nearly two decades.

I really want to play on the wing and keep out of trouble, but I don't think I'm going to get off that easy so It's prob going to be in the centres, where I'll end up being broken into 100 pieces. And worse, getting my shorts dirty.

Is there anything I need to look out for?

I gather it's now 5 points for a try and you can lift in the lineout, but do people still use deep heat and warm up with a fag and a pint still?

Wish me luck beer

do I need to check the local casualty for news of the match? Good luck chap, after 20 years of not playing you may well need it!

I think the front row warm up with a bucket of KFC... hehe

Good luck!

Thanks for the good wishes. In truth I've not been completely out of the game, I've been playing weekly touch and tag for the last 9 years or so, so am used to running and handling a ball, and have kept vaguely fit. It's the step up to tackling, rucking, collisions and grappling which will be a bit of a rude awakening for my old body!

I'll update the thread, hopefully not from hospital!

Not sure i've seen a more brutal premiership game.

We're now settled in for the women's match.

Going in, Sarries women have played 8, won 8 with 7 bonus points. Quins ladies are ahead of them in the table! hehe

Revelling in the giddy heights of 2nd.

SECOND!!

Cannot remember when we were last second in the Premiership - long may it last - bought PF tickets after the Sarries win a couple of weeks ago; still on track bounceclap

And the good win for Gloucester also cements Irish to the bottom of the league, Worcester who are just above get another bonus point despite losing and are 6 points ahead and don't look like relegation candidates for now. Not looking good for Irish...

As for my game on Saturday (my first since the late 90s!). We lost, but I didn't die!. The team gave a good account of itself but our scratch team couldn't compete with our well drilled opposition. I did ok I think, I ended up playing scrum half and surprisingly wasn't terrible, got the ball out as quick and straight as I could. I managed to remember which side of the scrum the ball should go in too! smile Most of all though, I'd completely forgotten the feeling of tackling or being tackled. Being flattened by the number 7 in the first few minutes was a proper wake up call, I'm feeling it all over this morning!

Win or lose, it was great to get back onto the field of dreams. Saturday was coarse rugby at its best; lumpy muddy pitch, half-flat ball, last minute ringing around and ending up with 14 players, and no subs. As usual, the forwards didn't care about the final score, but felt they won their own separate battle with the opposition pack. We even had bottles of port in the water carriers. And afterwards it was back to the bar for tales of heroism and daftness from the game and watch the WAL/SA game. I'm wondering now if this going to be a regular thing now...

Could someone who watched the Quins game please tell me who got man of the match?

I got home intending to run to the end of the recording to find out, and managed to delete it instead! irked

Good for you Prand.
I'm thinking about doing some coaching qualifications to get back into something rugbyish.

Unbelievable that Glos are second in the league, especially as they have conceded more points than they have scored! (Only 231-233 mind)
