Definitely interesting that he's not chosen a single regularly starting international.
amusingly only 1 regularly starting England player here too (and more Cips love)...

Interesting!!??

That is one thing that Greenwood definitely cannot do - be interesting.

Steve Davis is far more interesting than Greenwood.

Did you actually mean 'boring'?

Greenwood can do boring.

Oh yes. Mr Greenwood is absolutely and definitely boring.

Well, given their combined performance this year in the internationals, I'd say that's justifiable.

Anyway, Greenwood a journalist (ok, pundit then) writing to sell papers, i.e. advertising space. And as we all know, being somewhat controversial is good for business. Saying that, I find he does provide some good food for thought.

The Guardian one is the same though. I think the established internationals have been stuffed this year by the combination of Lions, standard internationals and club duty.

Personally, I'd scrap the Lions and alternate between autumn and summer internationals so Northern and Southern hemisphere nations get alternating home and away schedules.

International matches are supposed to feel special, but to be they no longer do. They seem to happen all the time, and screw up players for their club teams.

The alternative is to take the Irish route, but I don't really want to pay my season ticket to only see my clubs best players trotting out for a handful of club games a season.

As for the Lions, I've never seen the point. Everything about Northern Hemisphere rugby stems from the tribalism of the Six Nations, so why would I want to see English (in my case), Welsh, Irish or Scottish rugby diluted once every four years? It gets even worse when you get to debating who had to be the token player from any one of the four, just because there has to be at least one from each country.

summer tours and Cips is being raised again.

Gotta be honest I don't see it happening. I get the whole 'represent your country' desire - however, at this point I'd not be surprised if cips were just to say 'bks' I'm off for a large payday in France. And who could blame him?

If there wasn't a World Cup next season...

I get that bit - but hasn't EJ been dangling this carrot for a couple of years now and what's it got him? Not even in the extended squad IIRC. I'd be chuffed if he does get game time because, even with his on field brain farts, he's an outstanding act, can't see it happening though

It seems odd that Marcus Smith has vanished from sight after spending all that time as an "apprentice" previously as well.

I don't believe it!

How many people go to HQ each year? Shirley that's about 10 tonnes of plastic waste per person?

What do I have to say? Is it custard or something?

I'm not sure where you got the millions from, as the Telegraph article is paywalled, but I suspect a reduction from 88 tonnes to 56 might be more realistic.

This may now have changed, but I thought it ironic that all those new re-usable eco-friendly cups have to go back to France to be washed!!!

Twickenham generated over 88 million tonnes of plastic waste in the 2012/13 season.

While that figure has been reduced to 56 million tonnes by the 2016/17 season,

Must be a typo. I would assume that anti-plastics activists would probably be inclined to over-estimate the numbers if anything, but even they claim that the whole of the UK only chucks away 5 million tonnes of the stuff!

Great match, appalling refereeing. Gloucester will feel robbed (which wouldn't really worry me, but that was really bad).

indeed for a match won by 1 point to have a ref responsible for a 14 point switch is shocking.

What a game.

Can someone point to the significant Garces decisions that swung the game in Cardiff's favour please?

Well, I saw a brilliant Gloucester try disallowed for a forward pass that clearly wasn’t. And the Cardiff kick through try was a long way offside (even though he called for the tmo and it wasn’t reviewed properly). Was a big swing in a tight game. But kept it close and exciting for neutrals right to the end. Enjoyed it.
