A very sad day as regards BJ cry

He turned up at my local late one night, maybe 20 years ago, and kept himself to himself (only a handful of us recognised him) along with a local lady. She left at shut tap to pick up a takeaway curry for when he got back to her place. The pub got emptied and the doors were locked leaving the usual regulars and Barry who asked very politely if he could have another pint. Three hours later after many many stories and hilarious anecdotes we all went home.

From that day on Barry would be seen around town and of course end up with us in the pub - we were regarded as friends and loved each others company as he/we knew 'what goes on on tour stays on tour' wink Often we would go to his local in Cardiff especially during the Cheltenham Festival as he loved the horses.

Many happy hours with a legend and I like to think friend.

PS. He was st at pool but always paid up lol

Hi Everyone,

I’m wondering if anyone knows of any way to get tickets for Gloucester?

I’m taking the other half away for a weekend and she’s up for a game as we’re not far…the shed end would be best.

We’re looking for the Bristol game on 30th March.

Anyone with any contacts or knowledge, I’d super appreciate a pointer.
Thanks.

Glos Ticket office: 01452 872289

They'll tell you when tickets go on sale. Will be a busy derby so don't leave until last minute. they usually have early bird offers too.
You’re a gent, thank you.

Any info yet on England A v Portugal, as in, squad/players etc? It looks like a pretty exciting prospect... I have bought tickets!

Interesting that we're putting England A out against them, yet the Boks are apparently making it a full test. Or do the Boks just not have an A team?

Best bit of refereeing that I've seen for a good while. Excellent work!

Yes, a lovely soundbite in an otherwise 'interesting' refereeing performance.

I'm glad I'm not alone in thinking that.

She made no difference to the result, England were much the better side, but I found her performance curious. She missed a lot of things for both sides.

It shows how good the elite referees are. Y'know, the ones we all moan about on the 6N thread wink

Such a shame!

If he hadn't picked up such a nasty long term injury at the worst possible moment, I've no doubt he'd be well established in the England camp by now and still a firm frequent starter in the Quins back three.

Best of luck to him! He'll always be remembered fondly at the Stoop for his contributions to winning the title!

Do they somehow edit it out afterwards? I was thinking about this not too long ago when watching a full body length shot on TNT which appeared to show (according to their respective Wikipedia pages) 5'6" Austin Healey as being the same height as 6'0" David Flatman.

At a more domestic level, I heard that Leighton Buzzard 1st XV have dropped out of the league.

Apparently they came top of the lower league last season, were promoted to London Regional 2 and were getting hammered every game. Players were disenchanted and the 1st XV decided to drop out of the league.

Sad news if so. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Often promotion is not good for junior clubs. Increased travelling and losing when players are used to winning or competitive games is not attractive.
People don't want to play and the situation becomes worse.

My son's team were flying high in their league but after a couple of losses are are now 2nd, which a much better place to be for them.

So close for Ealing against Leicester this afternoon!

Healey as so often making a complete Plum of himself by saying that their playing might warrant them being promoted to the Prem but their average attendance doesn't. Maybe if they were given their fair reward, attendance would increase!
