I was quoted £70 plus post to replace the soles on my altbergs. I just bought some new ones from ebay instead.

Going to try to get them repaired. Anyone with experience of using these folks? https://lancashiresportsrepairs.co.uk/
I've used them before to replace a zip in a Goretex Pro jacket. Long (pre-Covid) lead times, not cheap, and they put the replacement zip in the wrong way round (having removed the original so they would have seen which way it went). I couldn't be bothered to send it back and wait a few more weeks so I live with it but it still bugs me. What's more, they could almost certainly have recommended and replaced just the puller, which I had to have done again subsequently on the replacement zip anyway.

Ok, interesting to know.
LSR implied they could do it (I sent pictures) would be £80 on boots that would probably be c £140-£180 to replace - albeit replacements would need to be worn in, and not as comfy as my existing pair - hence rather get repaired if possible..
Just be mindful that the fit of the old boots may change.
Ex FiL was a shoe repairer,he could have fixed yours, but would usually advise against it.
