Froome, because he's English/a winner/a Sky rider. Take your pick.
English? I don't think so, mate.Frenchman Romain Bardet spends a lot of time training in that region. He is a GC contender in this edition of the TdF. Froome is his main rival. It's been a long, hot day, with copious amounts of wine being drunk. A few local people get a bit too emotional and boo Froome as he goes by in pursuit of their hero, Bardet and his French team.
No harm done. In fact, it probably provoked Froome to push harder.

You've got to feel sorry for all the other teams when you look at how strong Team Sky's squad is.
Just looking at some of the riders that didn't make the squad - they'd make a decent team:
Ian Stannard
Peter Kennaugh
Wout Peols
David Lopez
Gianni Moscon
Benat Intxausti
Ian Boswell
Kenny Elissonde
The other Henao brother

A question to those with far more knowledge of the sport than I: Froome was interviewed on the Today programme this morning and commented on how tight this year's race was. If it is still that tight by the end of Saturday's stage, will Sunday's stage be the usual procession, or will the teams whose riders are in contention still be at it hammer and tongs?

None of those teams have the fire power to do so even if they wanted to. Between Sky and Quickstep nobody is going to get anywhere. But it won't likely be that close after Saturday I don't think. In actual answer, I don't think it would happen.

The interesting thing could be is if Froome was say 3 seconds behind someone there! However I always understood it was a procession, and so it would not be "ok" to go for it?But it won't likely be that close after Saturday I don't think. In actual answer, I don't think it would happen.
