Lopez, what a beast! Not afraid to take it to the robots, if he can come out of the TT with less than 4 minutes on Froome, it could still be all to play for. Sky are killing this race and what the fk is Froome on the blower for every 5 minutes, Twot. biggrin

Froome dominant in the TT today and holding his on in the Mountains it surely must be his to lose now.
Think Lopez is now 5min 25 sec down. Froome has the Red Jersey the Green Jersey and the combined Jersey.

Today looks grim.

Also Angliru is horrid. Though my feeling is that Froome could probably TT up that at his own pace and still win, but needs to get through today first.

must be some tired legs and minds out there and Froome still seems on top of things just wish it was on live its not the same watching highlights when you know the result (don't have Eurosport).

The only deal I see on Eurosport is £19.99 for a year. Is it available through the Amazon fire Stick I wonder.

looks like Froome had a difficult day today Nibali now 1.16 behind in second place.

I think the gap from Froome to Nibali? is back down to 1:16? shame that Nibali lost the best part of a minute to Froome on the time trial. If that wasn't the case then certainly Niabli would be a very serious threat to the GC.

Still anything could happen but Froome seems super strong although not invincible smile

Top work by Contador yesterday - again, a pity that he was not well on stage 2 or 3?? when he lost a huge amount of time. Respect to the guy for getting back into the top 5 nonetheless.

not sure what's happened to Chaves - thought he might be in with a shout but he's fallen way back now.

Froome just extended his lead again by about 25 seconds, dropped NIbali on the ascent.

Froome knows that sometimes he has to lose a bit to gain a bit the following day he really does understand GT riding.

Wow what top drawer action today - Bertie rolling back the years and Aru going on the rampage and good old Froomy sucking wheels. Spanish gonna love him - he's the new Abraham Olano. biggrin

Froome still looks strong and took 20 secs of Nibali he has become the ultimate Tour rider calculating his effort perfectly.
The problem for the sport is SKY has now put the TDF and now possibly the Vuelta out of the reach of a lot of teams and that cant be healthy for the Sport.
Time to possibly reduce the number of riders in a team and increase the number of teams in the GT's.
Not knocking Froome or SKY but one team dominating isn't good for the SPort

The onus is on the other - no less well-funded - teams to catch-up. AG2R actually rode like a team for a bit in the Tour and it had a massive impact.

SKY mainly target the GT's more so than any other team and they have riders capable of winning GT's now or in the near future supporting Froome.

Yes, Sky have been really dominant in the grand tours especially the TdF and the Vuelta this year. Not really really their fault but perhaps the opposition need to up their game. If Valverde had not crashed then perhaps things may have been different in the Tdf And even the Vuelta.

I really thought Quintana would have more of an impact on the grand tours but he seems to have fallen a bit short. Let's see, maybe Dumoulin will challenge Froome next year. He should have entered the Vuelta though smile

Nibali although a hugely talented biked rider lacks the team around him.
