Vuelta Espana 2017

I think the gap from Froome to Nibali? is back down to 1:16? shame that Nibali lost the best part of a minute to Froome on the time trial. If that wasn't the case then certainly Niabli would be a very serious threat to the GC.
Still anything could happen but Froome seems super strong although not invincible
Top work by Contador yesterday - again, a pity that he was not well on stage 2 or 3?? when he lost a huge amount of time. Respect to the guy for getting back into the top 5 nonetheless.
not sure what's happened to Chaves - thought he might be in with a shout but he's fallen way back now.

Froome still looks strong and took 20 secs of Nibali he has become the ultimate Tour rider calculating his effort perfectly.
The problem for the sport is SKY has now put the TDF and now possibly the Vuelta out of the reach of a lot of teams and that cant be healthy for the Sport.
Time to possibly reduce the number of riders in a team and increase the number of teams in the GT's.
Not knocking Froome or SKY but one team dominating isn't good for the SPort

The onus is on the other - no less well-funded - teams to catch-up. AG2R actually rode like a team for a bit in the Tour and it had a massive impact. The problem for the sport is SKY has now put the TDF and now possibly the Vuelta out of the reach of a lot of teams and that cant be healthy for the Sport.

SKY mainly target the GT's more so than any other team and they have riders capable of winning GT's now or in the near future supporting Froome. Yes, Sky have been really dominant in the grand tours especially the TdF and the Vuelta this year. Not really really their fault but perhaps the opposition need to up their game. If Valverde had not crashed then perhaps things may have been different in the Tdf And even the Vuelta.
I really thought Quintana would have more of an impact on the grand tours but he seems to have fallen a bit short. Let's see, maybe Dumoulin will challenge Froome next year. He should have entered the Vuelta though
Nibali although a hugely talented biked rider lacks the team around him.
