I thought that too.
Yeah - bad times. Didn't come off today. Think this is where Root really gives us an edge, he can score quickly enough to give us big totals, but stops us collapsing (usually)

Short today - won't be often that Hales, Roy and Buttler all fail.

I'm enjoying the shift in tactics - against both NZ and England, Aus has bowled for wickets, rather than containment. It's working so far.

ps Glen Maxwell :
Bowling : 3 wickets for 10 runs.
Fielding : 1 catch, 1 dropped.
Batting : 101 runs not out off 60-odd balls.

Another dismal T20 performance.
Will they make the final?

Hard to believe, isn't it? World T20 Cup finalists in 2016, players like Jason Roy, Alex Hales, Jos Buttler, David WIlley, Chris Jordan etc, and we can't seem to trouble Australia.

It may have something to do with the fact that most of their players have been involved in the Big Bash, so they're in full T20 mode, I don't know. We beat them consistently in the ODI series, so it's not as though we've had a poor tour, loss of the Ashes series notwithstanding.

Oh well. It will soon be summer, and we've got Pakistan and India to look forward to.

I won't start a new one for this as it is 6 months away.

Jofra Archer is in the BBL, ok T20, but if England wait for him to qualify, he should be in the team straight away.....

Just in time for the ashes??!!
He is a bit reminiscent of Michael Holding the way he cruises to the crease and then unleashes missiles.
