I've heard BT sport allows logins from three devices, so if you know anyone with an account, you could probably tap them up for their login details.

But I think my point stands. It's bullst

Where is JohnFM these days, a good crim sparring partner is needed, he'd love this stat.

All 11 players on the England side, were born in England.

30/2. Good start from England. Convicts 2 best batsmen at the crease now. Breaking this partnership will be key.

He'll come out of the woodwork when England are in trouble.
Biding his time for now, I'd imagine.

Well so far this looks like being a good Ashes series that I can't watch. Not even highlights.

Bullshine.

10 wickets today, hopefully it’s going to be a close series. I’ve been watching it on Sony sports from India. It’s the Australian channel 9 feed.

Big shame it’s gone to BT sports imho.

If only Cook and Root had put in a performance with the bat...

Not looking too bad. 1more before the close would be ideal, but not looking likely.

Yeah one more wicket and I think we would have had them under pressure overnight. Still if there is likely to be some rain tomorrow then Anderson will move the ball more.

Either way they are unlikely to score much different from England - +/- 50 runs I would guess. On current form the draw would be the favourite, which would be a great result for England. The Aussies usually win at this ground, and even a tight game will give England plenty of confidence that we can get something out the series.

On the left where it says live. There’s loads of feeds for live sports events of all kinds. Including F1 and cricket etc. In loads of different languages. It’s usually good but with some odd pop ups that need closing before you start.

I looked on day 1 and the ashes wasn’t on. Perhaps it was different for day 2

Looks like two pretty ordinary teams will make this a close series.

How brainless was Woakes' shot?

More brainless to swap Moeen and Bairstow round in the batting order.

Bairstow needs more time to make proper scores, and he is after all a very decent bat.

Anyway - annoying that the headlines are all about Smith. Hope Broad can get one up his hooter on a faster deck. Or even better Lyons.

Most disturbing reports are of a fight inside the ground.

Indeed. I have registered my displeasure with the ECB.

I look forward to my message not making it past their email filters.

ETA: just realised I can't multiply 8 by 25 properly. Doh.
Sorry to self-quote. It seems that I owe the ECB an apology. It's Cricket Australia's fault.

Agreed - I was thinking the same myself. Mind you, woakes has several first class 100's & it would have looked a lot different if he had dug in and hung around while Bairstow batted.
