Well so far this looks like being a good Ashes series that I can't watch. Not even highlights.
Bullshine.
10 wickets today, hopefully it’s going to be a close series. I’ve been watching it on Sony sports from India. It’s the Australian channel 9 feed. Bullshine.
Big shame it’s gone to BT sports imho.

If only Cook and Root had put in a performance with the bat...
Not looking too bad. 1more before the close would be ideal, but not looking likely.
Yeah one more wicket and I think we would have had them under pressure overnight. Still if there is likely to be some rain tomorrow then Anderson will move the ball more. Not looking too bad. 1more before the close would be ideal, but not looking likely.
Either way they are unlikely to score much different from England - +/- 50 runs I would guess. On current form the draw would be the favourite, which would be a great result for England. The Aussies usually win at this ground, and even a tight game will give England plenty of confidence that we can get something out the series.

I looked on day 1 and the ashes wasn’t on. Perhaps it was different for day 2

Looks like two pretty ordinary teams will make this a close series.
How brainless was Woakes' shot?
More brainless to swap Moeen and Bairstow round in the batting order. How brainless was Woakes' shot?
Bairstow needs more time to make proper scores, and he is after all a very decent bat.
Anyway - annoying that the headlines are all about Smith. Hope Broad can get one up his hooter on a faster deck. Or even better Lyons.
Most disturbing reports are of a fight inside the ground.

Agreed - I was thinking the same myself. Mind you, woakes has several first class 100's & it would have looked a lot different if he had dug in and hung around while Bairstow batted.Bairstow needs more time to make proper scores, and he is after all a very decent bat.
