Yes, we had a little dabble on it but went from 16 to 12-1 in the time it took to place the bet.

On a brighter note, out sindicate pot has increased 10 fold over Ascot.......the world cup fund having halved to leave us even overall !

Ascot 3:40 Lihou @100/1 ew Dave Evans has him entered in 2 other big races (Newbury and Newmarket) later in the year so must think he's a good un!

Anything can happen in these 5f cavalry charges so gets a couple of quid e/w five places.

Lihou beat Kinks by a head at Kempton Sat 7 April 2018 on the Polytrack

Kinks went on to win two small races at Bath and Ripon

Kinks was then well beaten in a bigger race at Sandown and the winner of that race Vintage Brut was well beaten in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot on Thursday, Kinks also ran in the Norfolk Stakes and did finish ahead of Vintage Brut but was also well beaten

Lihou was beaten by No Lippy at Chester on Wed 9 May, No Lippy has since been well beaten in a bigger race at York on Fri 18 May 2018 and also well beaten in a bigger race at Beverley on Sat 9 June 2018 although she did win a lesser money race at Musselburgh on Sat 2 June 2018 in-between those 2 races she failed in......No Lippy wasn't thought good enough to run at Ascot and didn't run there

Looking at the other entries in the 15:40 Royal Ascot race, Lihou seems to have been given an impossible task and I do wonder if the owners wanted a Royal Ascot runner today
