My £20 free bet from the 13:30 turned up nothing, so I'm just splitting the balance between the rest of the races now, £4 here and there..

Still up £140 for the week even if nothing else comes good today, so can't complain!

Have had a small e/w bet on Kemboy in the Gold Cup. I used to own a horse by the same sire as him.

Quite chuffed today, had Pentland Hills to win in the first @ 20/1 and Al Boum Photo in the Gold Cup to win @ 12/1, plus Lisp each way @33/1 and Countister each way @18/1. Shame I only put a quid on each ha ha!

That was a tough watch yesterday. Always difficult watching a horse break down.

Any tips for Aintree tomorrow? Heading to watch tomorrow and in competition with the missus to see who picks the most winners. She’s an ex jockey and trainer though so at a massive advantage over me haha

For the last few years, the horses that i've backed at Chelt (& lost) have gone on to win at Aintree, so for that reason, I am on Road To Respect and Fakir DOudairies tomorrow!

1.45 La Baguette Au Roi
2.20 Fakir D’Oudaries
2.50 Clan Des Obeux
3.25 Buveur D’air
4.25 Road to Rome
4.40 Diego Du Charmil

Will do a Yankee on these minus BVD.

That's impressively unlucky that is.

Had Moon Over Germany in the 4:40 at 8/1. That's boosted my spending pot for my favourite day of the sporting calendar. Ladies Day @ Aintree.

Managed 4 winners out of 7 with luck rather than judgement, my winnings covered the missus losses with a bit of profit on top.

Bit of fun money on Push The Tempo in the first - local trainer known to pull off a shock.

Already backed Evan Williams horse to win
