Anyone have Tommy F? On for a 64 if he pars in!

I think Tommy might have left it too late but I've got my fingers and toes crossed for him!

What a round of golf. In context, one of the best I’ve ever seen.

And a stunner to finish into 18.

Come on Tommy - let's bag the putt.

Feel a tad disappointed he didn't make it.

Great round though.

Would have loved to have seen him sink one on either 17 or 18.

Too early to say whether +1 would be good enough (probably not on this softened course), but a 62 in a US Open might never have been bettered.

Shooting 63 on a course where there are a few others shooting 65 is one thing. Shooting 63 on a course where everyone else is struggling to even shot par is another all together.

Johnson watches Koepka putt and then has the exact same putt. Instead of just following the line Koepka did and stepping straight in to it, he and his caddy go through all that aim point crap and he proceeds to miss

Tommy was robbed with that putt on the 18th, the ball was going in until it hit something weird about six inches before the hole which made it dive off to the right. Very unlucky.

Great weekend's golf, despite the USGA's best attempt to turn it into crazy golf on the Saturday. Koepka thoroughly deserved that, good solid golf over the last couple of days. especially on the Saturday when everyone was losing their heads. What a round by Fleetwood though, OK conditions were a bit more favourable, but given no one else got close to that yesterday consider my hat doffed. He definitely has at least one major in him, might be worth a sneaky bet for Carnoustie?

And in my own personal game I broke one of my own records yesterday. I missed the fairway by so much I needed a 6 iron to get back to it smile A combination of a vicious crosswind and the over the top action I am trying to banish, meant it started right, missed all the cabbage designed to catch horrible slices, missed the fairway the other side of the cabbage and went into the heavy rough the other side of that. Lipped out for par too smile

Pretty much a snaphot of my game at the moment, fantastic recovery play but still a few issues off the tee....

If you're struggling with an 'over the top' action, have you tried the water bottle drill? It's on Youtube & Is pretty useful. Everything becomes easier when you have an actual obstacle in the way to force you to change your delivery...

I haven't actually - it seems to primarily stem from my inability to tuck my right elbow in on the way through with my woods - fine with irons and wedges, put a wood in my hand and my backswing gets longer and my right elbow takes on a mind of its own. I've been using the towel under the right elbow drill, which works well on shorter shots, just not off the tee.

One to try if I can get myself down the range this evening...
